After identifying Rex Lapis’ preferred scent, Zhongli sends you to Yujing Terrace to seek out an old friend of his, Madame Ping, and borrrow a certain Cleansing Bell. Strange… Zhongli seems to be avoiding his old friend…

Talk to Madame Ping¶

Zhongli has requested you visit an old friend of his, Madame Ping, in order to secure the Cleansing Bell required for the rite. You’ll find her in the northwest part of Liyue Harbor, make your way up to the upper level and speak to her to learn that the Cleansing Bell is, rather oddly, inside her house that’s situated in the ceramic teapot on the table. When you’re ready, at her request, touch the teapot to begin your search for the Cleansing Bell.

Search for the Cleansing Bell¶

You’ll be whisked off to what seems to be a domain, curious, but the Bell is inside here somewhere. Start by heading across the walkway to the next platform and you’ll notice a Green Spider will deal minimal damage to you along the way, use a ranged attack to deal with it and then proceed on.

The next platform will be your first serious battle, a combination of regular and Mutant Electro Slimes await you. A Pyro character is handy here to spread the Overload Reaction or alternatively, make use of a Cryo character to cause Superconduct. The Mutant Electro Slimes will be the most troublesome, focus on them first and watch for their Ground Slam attack, moving out of the way to avoid the brunt of the damage.

Once the platform is clear, activate the switch, follow the path to the next platform and deal with the Large Geo Slime that is waiting for you here. These are more difficult to make useful Reactions out of but using any elements against it will cause Crystalize. Once it’s defeated, squash another simple Spider and activate the next switch to continue the search.

This will activate a Wind Current, ride it up to the next platform and then cross over to the next one. More Slimes to deal with here, this time two regular Hydro and Cryo Slimes and another Mutant Electro Slime, consider using Electro itself against the Hydro Slimes before using Pyro against the Mutant. Another Spider awaits at the top of these stairs, deal with it and then activate the next switch.

One final large group of enemies await you here, starting with a small group of Cryo and Hydro Slimes along with a more difficult Large Cryo Slime, you’ll really want to cause Melt here with a Pyro character if at all possible. Defeat these and you’ll be ambushed by a Mutant Electro Slime, another Large Cryo Slime and a Large Electro Slime. Thankfully, the tactic of using Pyro remains true here as you can strike at the weakness of all three.

With the enemies dispatched, activate another switch and ride the Wind Current to the top where you’ll discover the final switch, leading you to the last platform in this curious teapot. Here, you’ll find all of Madame Ping’s belongings and on the table in front of you, the Cleansing Bell so pocket it and then leave the Domain.

Put the perfume and Cleansing Bell in place¶

Following your discussion with Madame Ping, you’ll finally have the Cleansing Bell in hand, return to the southeast of your location and back to where you left the Jade to place both the perfume and the Cleansing Bell to bring this Quest to a close.
