Talk to Kujirai Momiji¶
Kujirai Momiji has made a breakthrough in the search for the Lunar Leviathan.
This quest starts off with you needing to speak to Kujirai Momiji, who can be found northwest of Inazuma City, next to the southern Byakko Plains waypoint. When you get there, talk to her, and she’ll tell you that she revisited her father’s sailing log again. The log had an appendix that she missed, which mentioned some type of special lure recipe. Apparently the bait they used was Seagrass, and Magical Crystal Ore. She has the Seagrass, but needs the Ore, which must be mined at Araumi, but many monsters gather there. You confidently tell her that you can handle it, and she’ll tell you she’ll meet you to the west of Araumi later.
Go to Araumi and look for the special Magic Crystal Ore / Collect 3 Special Magical Crystal Ore (0/3)¶
Teleport to the waypoint in Araumi, which is at the north of the island, then glide to the east, avoiding all the enemies along the way, and you should see all the Ore nestled away by the mountain. Attack, and collect the three pieces of the Ore, then head west.
The Magical Crystal Ore can be seen laying next to the mountain as you glide over from the Araumi waypoint.
Talk to Kujirai Momiji¶
Kujirai Momiji told you that she’d wait for you to the west of Araumi, so continue heading west/northwest, and you’ll find her waiting by the coast. Talk to her for a short scene, and she’ll make the bait, so you can fish out the Lunar Leviathan. For a split second you think you’ve found it, just for it to be a Ruin Guard.
Make use of your surroundings. You are by the ocean which applies the wet status to the Ruin Guard automatically, add some Cryo to the mix, and it’s frozen. Leaving you all the time in the world to defeat it, without taking any damage.
Defeat the Ruin Guard¶
Naturally, you’ll have to defeat it. As you’re by water, Cryo will work great against it, and keep it frozen for the majority of the battle. Whilst it’s frozen, attack its core on its head to stun it. In no time, you’ll defeat it, and you’ll have to speak to Kujirai Momiji again.
Kujirai is upset at the outcome of the haul, and no matter how much consoling, Paimon gives will help her.
Talk to Kujirai Momiji¶
Kujirai will be upset that her father’s bait didn’t work, and Paimon tries to console her, but she just wants to be left alone, she’ll give you your payment for the commission, and leave. When the scene ends, so will the quest.
