How to complete the Archon Quest Hurdle¶
This page is designed to help you progress through the main story quest, known as Archon Quests in Genshin Impact. This specific page will guide you where you need to go, and who you need to talk to.
The Traveler is heading towards Stormterror’s Lair.
Description¶
You came to Stormterror’s Lair to once again attempt Dvalin’s rescue. However, it is surrounded by wind barriers made by Stormterror, and the dark forces at work have no intention of letting you break through those barriers so easily.

Steps¶
Go to the entrance of Stormterror’s Lair¶
You can find the lair to the west/northwest of Mondstadt. The easiest to get there, is by teleporting to the Cecilia Garden Domain, and heading west to get onto the path, then following that path north. You may find some enemies along the path, but you can just run past them if you want. As you approach the barrier, you’ll get a scene. Venti will talk about breaking through the barrier, when he’s interrupted, due to an enemy attack.
Defeat the assailants¶
You’ll face off against, a Wooden Shield Mitachul, an Anemo Samachurl, a Hilichurl Grenadier, and a couple of Shooters. Take out the Samachurl first, so its attacks don’t impede your ability to fight the other enemies, then take out the rest of the smaller enemies, before fighting the Mitachurl. By using Pyro attacks on the large shield of the Mitachurl, you’ll eventually break it, making it easier to deal with. Once they’re dealt with, you’ll get another scene. Venti will play his harp, and the barrier will disperse. With the way forward open, the quest will end.
