What Is This, a Day Trip?

By
Matt Chard

How to complete What Is This, a Day Trip?

To begin this quest, go to the Quest menu, then go to the Story sub-menu and then go to the second page. This is where you will find all the Hangout Events in the future. Click on Bennett and confirm, a popup will now appear and ask if you want to spend two story keys to unlock “Fantastic Voyage”, confirm that, and you’ll get the first quest. To earn Story Keys, you need to complete eight daily commissions.

What are daily commissions?

Daily commissions are the purple quest icon in-game. You get four every day, and they reward you with 250 Adventure EXP for each quest as well as a small amount of Primogems, after eight of these commissions are completed, you’ll receive a story key. The quests themselves are normally short, defeat enemy type quests.

Timeline

Use the Timeline to plan the path you want to take.

Use the Timeline to help you navigate what branch to take.

Go to the “dandelion meadow” (The Adventurer In the Dandelion Sea)

Bennett wants to show you this “dandelion meadow” he was talking about, so teleport to the Stormbearer Point Waypoint and head northeast, and you’ll find Bennett, waiting by the edge of the cliff there.

Talk to Bennett

Talk to him for a scene. Bennett will be upset that the dandelions are stripped bear, and he’ll apologize to you, saying…** I’m so sorry… bringing you all this way only for you to end up seeing nothing…** This’ll give you the following two choices:

“You couldn’t have predicted this, no need to apologize.”

This choice doesn’t add or subtract a heart.

“Maybe scout the place out in advance next time.”

This choice will make you lose 1 heart.

“It’s fine, we still got to go out for a nice walk.”

This choice will gain you 1 heart.

Although the choices won’t change any outcome in the story, it’ll give or take a heart depending on your choice.

Accompany Bennett on a walk (Reap without sowing…?)

Follow Bennett and he’ll end up finding a monster camp, full of treasure chests! He’ll seem quite happy with himself, and thanks you for the luck in finding this, then he’ll suggest on opening the chests.

Open all the treasure chests (0/5)

It doesn’t matter on the order you open them, so start opening them, and you’ll notice that the chest don’t contain much other than a couple of Mora and a few vegetables.

Talk to Bennett

Head back over to Bennett and speak to him for a scene, and when he says…I’ve only seen them in places that are so dangerous you’d have to risk life and limb to get there… You’re get the following choice which doesn’t change any outcome for the story but will add or subtract a heart:

“It’s because you don’t have good luck.”

This will deduct 1 heart.

“Uh… Yep, you’re quite right.”

This choice won’t make you gain or lose a heart.

He’ll then suggest carrying on with your walk.

Accompany Bennett on a walk (Ad Astra…)

Continue following him, and he’ll lead you to a different edge of the cliff, talk to him, and he’ll tell you how he spends most of his time adventuring alone, and that he’s happy for the company. He’ll then go on and tell you about how his dads were great adventurers back in the day, and he’ll tell you a little about his upbringing, eventually he’ll say…I’d love to take you to meet them sometime. You’d be blown away by some of their stories! Which’ll give you the following choice:

“Sounds like there’s a lot I can learn.”

This choice will gain you one heart.

“Isn’t that tough on you?”

This choice won’t add or subtract a heart.

The choice doesn’t change any story outcome, and Bennett will mention how the weather is great and you two should do some wind gliding, in typical Bennett fashion, the weather takes a turn for the worse and a thunderstorm begins to brew. You’ll get a couple of choices, but that won’t change anything and then Jack, someone who lives near Bennett’s dads will come for him, he’ll apologize for having to leave and the quest will end, rewarding you with Ending 2 - Hasty Farewell.
