How to complete the Archon Quest When the Wind Dies Down¶

Description¶

You finally managed to save Dvalin. Is this where the story of the wind ends?

Talk to Amber¶

This quest will start immediately after the previous quest. It starts one day later, after rescuing Dvalin’s mind from its tormentors, you’ll talk to Amber, and she appears to be in great spirits, and she’s happy to see you back, but wishes she could’ve been a part of it. She’ll then tell you that although she wasn’t on the frontline, she was protecting Mondstadt in your absence. You ask her what she means by that, and she’ll explain that the monsters lurking nearby, made a coordinated attack on the city, but thankfully they were prepared.

She seems to think that they’re not out of the woods yet, because the Hilichurls aren’t normally capable of such a feat, and that the Abyss Order was most likely behind it.

Chat to the locals (Cyrus)¶

Head into the city, and Cyrus can be found at the stairs, just past the entrance, speak to him, and he’s looking forward to the battle with Stormterror, you’ll tell him that the Stormterror threat has already been dealt with, to his dismay.

Chat to the locals (Nimrod)¶

Now head over to Nimrod, he can be found a little further up, to your right. After speaking to him, he’s glad that this is all over, and hopes that the trade routes will be open again, now that the threat has passed.

Chat to the locals (Grace)¶

Grace can be found opposite Nimrod, talk to her, and she’ll thank you for all the hard work, you and the Knights have put in, quelling the Stormterror threat.

Optional objective¶

Now you’ll have an optional objective which’ll give you more rewards for your efforts on top of the quest rewards.

By destroying the barricades around the city, thirteen in total, and speaking to Otto, will reward you with the above rewards.

Go to the Good Hunter¶

After you’re done speaking to the locals, head over to the Good Hunter restaurant, and you’ll get a scene, Kaeya will give you some praise for your deeds, he tells you he’s here to collect his thoughts, and make some sense of what’s been going on. He’ll then explain that with all that was going on, and how Mondstadt’s protectors was busy, leaving the city vulnerable, would the Abyss Order really squander this opportunity by only sending a few Hilichurls, he doesn’t think it makes any sense.

Furthermore, he decided to wait around during the attack on Mondstadt, and saw some shadowy figures lurking in the city. As he approached the Abyss Order infiltrators, through various means, he managed to get some intel. The main thing he could take away, is that the Abyss Order is united under a single leader, and on top of that, they call the leader “The Prince/Princess”. As he spots Amber coming you’re way, he leaves.

Take a seat by Amber¶

Head over to where Amber’s sitting, and take a seat next to her. She’ll ask you about your future plans now that the Stormterror threat is out of the way, and Paimon will tell her that you think it’s time to leave Mondstadt, as you still want to look for your sibling, and there may be clues elsewhere. You’ll eat your meal with her, and that’ll end the quest, with the next quest starting immediately.
