The Mourn a Thousand Roses brings was released in Genshin Impact patch 3.0. The story content focuses on introducing the Sumeru cast and the region’s villains. A major part of this Archon Quest is centered around the Sabzeruz Festival. The guide below walks you through what to expect during this portion of the Archon quest.

The Traveler and Paimon in the Sumeru Archon Quest

Description¶

Sabzeruz Festival is about to begin. As agreed, you return to Sumeru City to find Dunyarzad and take part in the festival together.

The Start of The Sabzeruz Festival¶

To start this part of the Archon Quest, return to Sumeru City and use the quest marker to locate Dunyarzad. You will now begin to visit the stalls around the festival. Once you arrive at the alchemy stall, you will need to hand over two ingredients of your choice to progress the quest further. Next, you will go to the final stall, where you will try and win a game of chance.

Once you finish, you will need to head back to Dunyarzad’s house to pick up a missing item. This just takes a quick walk through Sumeru City. Proceed to the quest marker in town, and you will be jumped by an Eremite group. You won’t need to fight them as Dehya covers you, but you will need to run away to the marked location within the one minute time limit.

This can be done with plenty of time to spare, and afterward, Dehya will meet back up with the Traveler. After the cutscene, take Dunyazard to the marked location to rest before entering the Sabzeruz Festival. Once some time has passed chatting, you will exit the cutscene and need to head into the festival area.

Doing so will trigger another cutscene of the Akadeymiya shutting the festival down. After this, you will automatically be moved back to the day’s starting point after hearing a strange beep. From here on out, you will be trapped within the day of the Sabzeruz Festival and need to find a way to escape.
