How to complete the Archon Quest Light Guiding Ceremony¶
This page is designed to help you progress through the main story quest, known as Archon Quests in Genshin Impact. This specific page will guide you where you need to go, and who you need to talk to.
The Traveler has charged up the light actuator, to remove a seal from Stormterror’s lair.
Description¶
The entrance to Stormterror’s Lair is just ahead, but the light seals bar the way in. You must once again face a trial in order to break those seals.

Steps¶
- Investigate the seal at the top of the tower

Investigate the seal at the top of the tower¶
Head back to Stormterror’s Lair, if you have left, and walk over to the glowing object laying on the floor. When you pick these up, they’ll stay with you until you place it in a light actuator, take the object you just picked up, around the corner, to the light actuator leaning against the wall.
Talk to Venti¶
Head back over to Venti, and speak with him for a short scene. He’ll tell you that it worked, and that there are three more seals to break, which means there should be three more light actuators, and Jean can see one from up here. Before jumping down, walk around the platform to find an Exquisite Chest. If you climb to the top of the tower, you’ll be rewarded with the Wonders of the World achievement The Remains of the Gale, this’ll also make it easier to jump down, and glide over the barrier to the floor.
Break the seal in Stormterror’s Lair. (0/3)¶
There will be three seals to break, each with their own light actuators scattered around the ruins. You’ll find one in the northwest, one in the northeast, and one in the southwest. These can be done in any order, and what you need to do, is collect the pillars of light to charge up the actuator, so follow the instructions below on where to find them:
Northwest light actuator¶
This actuator is unguarded, so pick up the pillars of light, three to be exact. You can find these:

The first pillar of light will be in the nearby Hilichurl camp, ignore the enemies, break the crates, and pick up the pillar of light quickly.

The second pillar of light can be found behind a breakable wall, as soon as you approach the wall, some Geo Slimes will attack you, ignore or fight them, and pick up the pillar of light.

The last one is inside a wind barrier, if you climb the nearby stone pillars, you’ll be able to glide over the barrier to collect the pillar of light.
Once you have all three, take them to the light actuator, to charge it up.
Northeast light actuator¶
This actuator is also unguarded, and needs you to collect some more pillars of light, use the nearby wind currents to collect them from the top of the stone pillars.
Southwest light actuator¶
This actuator has three pillars of light to collect, you’ll see them scattered around the actuator, when you go to charge it up, you’ll have two minutes to battle a Pyro Abyss Mage, and two Samachurls. Take out the Samachurls first, as they have no shield, and also the least amount of health, then use a Hydro character to take down the Abyss Mage’s shield, before finishing it off. Once they’re defeated, charge up the actuator.
Once you’ve deactivated the last seal, the quest will end, with the new quest starting immediately.
