Description¶

The environmentalist Esther and the expedition team with her were set upon by monsters while performing a mountain survey, with the larger part of her survey beacons being lost in the process. She is currently looking for someone who can get them back for her…

You’ve helped Esther retrieve her lost survey beacons, but she once again requests your help in planting a new batch of beacons across the mountain…

Retrieve the survey beacons (0/4)¶

Talk to Esther to the east of the Entombed City - Outskirts waypoint to start the quest, she’ll tell you that she’s needs her beacons back and asks you to do it for her.

Beacon 1¶

All the beacons can be found within the objective marker so teleport to the Starglow Cavern waypoint, glide down and you will see a small golden light shining above the snow. Use a Pyro skill to melt the snow that hides the first beacon.

Beacon 2¶

This one is west of the waypoint, left of the stairs if you are coming down them, next to a tree.

Beacon 3¶

You can find this one northwest of the waypoint, near the eastern edge of the pond, hidden under some ice, use a Pyro skill to uncover it.

Beacon 4¶

West of the waypoint, southern edge of the pond, under some ice, melt it with Pyro to receive the last beacon.

Talk to Esther¶

Head back to Esther at the Entombed City - Outskirts waypoint and speak to her, she’ll ask you to place some new beacons, which must be placed at high altitude.

Place the survey beacons (0/4)¶

All the four locations are marked on your map and these must be placed at the summits of the mountains.

Beacon 1¶

West of Wyrmrest Valley, on top of the large mountain west of the camp of Fatui Skirmishers.

Beacon 2¶

East of the Snow-Covered Path, on top of the broken pillar by the river.

Beacon 3¶

Teleport to Albedo’s Campsite, glide across the broken bridge and you’ll see the mountain on your right, climb up and place the third beacon.

Beacon 4¶

Teleport to the Starglow Cavern waypoint and the mountain can be seen to the southwest from here, glide across to it, then climb up for the Mountain for the last Beacon.

Report back to Esther¶

Teleport back to Esther to complete the quest.

The Great Mountain Survey II¶

Description¶

Though the beacons have all been placed, Esther remains unable to measure Dragonspine’s true height, seemingly due to having insufficient beacons. To resolve the issue, she is looking for someone who can help her plant a beacon at the mountain’s summit…

Rewards¶

2. Place beacon at the very top of Dragonspine Mountain
3. Report back to Esther
4. Deliver the letter to Cyrus

Talk to Esther¶

After completing Esther’s first quest, you’ll get a follow up. She will ask you to place one more beacon at the top of Dragonspine Peak.

Place beacon at the very top of Dragonspine Mountain¶

The quickest way to get to the top is by telporting to Dragonspine Peak waypoint, you can also use the west of Skyfrost Nail waypoint, you’ll need to clear the “In the Mountains” quest to be able to use this, otherwise use the Starglow Cavern waypoint.

From the Dragonspine Peak waypoint, navigate around and up the mountain to eventually find an Anemo device, activate it with an Anemo character and ride the current to the summit, climb a little further up and then place the beacon and open the chest, then teleport back to Esther.

Report back to Esther¶

Tell Esther the good news and she’ll have one last favor, deliver a letter to Cyrus.

Cyrus can be found outside the Knights of Favonius headquaters in Mondstadt, talk to him to deliver the letter and finsh the quest.
