How to complete For A Child’s Smile¶
To begin this quest, go to the Quest menu, then go to the Story sub-menu and then go to the second page. This is where you will find all the Hangout Events in the future. Click on Chongyun and confirm, a popup will now appear and ask if you want to spend two story keys to unlock “Signs of Evil”, confirm that, and you’ll get the first quest. To earn Story Keys, you need to complete eight daily commissions.
What are daily commissions?¶
Daily commissions are the purple quest icon in-game. You get four every day, and they reward you with 250 Adventure EXP for each quest as well as a small amount of Primogems, after eight of these commissions are completed, you’ll receive a story key. The quests themselves are normally short, defeat enemy type quests.

Give the newly-made popsicles to Dalong (Lingering Worry)¶
Teleport to the lower Liyue Harbor Waypoint and head southeast, where you’ll see Dalong, his sister Little Le, and his mother, Yuyan. Walk over to them, for a scene, and his mother is asking Dalong where he got the popsicles from and whether he had stolen them as they didn’t have any money, this will prompt a choice which leads to the same outcome, so answer how you see fit. Yuyan will apologize to her son and then leave.
Dalong thanks you for your help and once again, you’ll get a few more choices that have no impact. Little Le will say that you and Chongyun look like good partners which prompts another choice with no impact, and then she’ll ask if you want to play a game. Chongyun doesn’t appear to be over keen on the idea, and he’ll explain to you, why he feels that way. Once again you’ll get another choice, but this will have three options to choose from, they don’t change any outcome so pick whatever appeals to you, and you’ll eventually play hide-and-seek with the children.

Dalong can be found hiding behind the crates which are situated behind the Second Life store to your east.

Little Le can be found hiding behind the tree, west of the teleport waypoint.

Chongyun can be found right next to you, by the bottom of the stairs to your west, hiding around the corner.

After you have found all three of them, you’ll get a scene and the children will mention they’re hungry. Chongyun will say that he needs to be careful what he eats, and then he’ll mention that he can’t eat anything warm due to his condition, and that he likes to eatCold Noodles with Mountain Delicacies, the children thinks it sounds tasty and after some persuading he’ll reluctantly agree to make them if you procure the ingredients.
Give the ingredients to Chongyun¶
The recipe requires two Flour, two Raw Meat and three Mushrooms. You can find the Flour from Wanmin Restaurant, the Raw Meat from Boars or Draff, a hunter in Springvale who will sell you some, and finally, Mushrooms can also be purchase from Wanmin Restaurant. Once you’ve procured the items, talk to Chongyun and give him the ingredients.
He’ll cook the meal for you and the children, and then he’ll ask your opinion on the taste, tell him whatever appeals to you as the choice won’t matter and after some more dialogue, the quest will end, rewarding you with Ending 2- Idle Amusements
