The Spiral Abyss is a unique version of the Abyssal Domain and it can only be accessed after reaching Adventure Rank 20. It is an instanced area and it consists of 12 floors and each floor is divided by three chambers. Each chamber has three challenges and when each challenge is completed you will be awarded with an Abyssal Star which determines what you are rewarded. The Spiral Abyss is constructed of two parts, the Abyss Corridor and the Abyssal Moon Spire.

Spiral Abyss location

You can find the Spiral Abyss on a small island called Musk Reef which is situated at the far eastern part of the Mondstadt region which can be accessed via a wormhole at Cape Oath. To get into the wormhole you will see three Seelie statues beneath it, guide them to their respective statues to unlock a wind spout that can lift you up to it.

The wormhole can be found here

Is Spiral Abyss Co op?

As of this moment, it isn’t but there are rumours that it could be down the line.

What is the Abyss Corridor?

The Abyss Corridor is the first part of the Spiral Abyss and as mentioned above it consists of eight floors which has three chambers each. It gets progressively more difficult the further you get with the level of enemies you face to the challenges you do. There are also Restrictions such as not being able to change party members, consume food, consumables or even changing your equipment.

Also, once a month there are Blessings which provide a wide range of status enhancements including Defense +30% or Elemental Skill damage +20%. These can last the entire floor while some will only affect that particular chamber.

There are also Auras that can increase your Shield Strength or release a shockwave when you’re above 50% Stamina, these are shown as a goldish circular area marked on the floor. Lastly, there are Benedictions and these let you choose one of three buffs every chamber and are normally either some form of attack or defense boost. The rewards here don’t reset.

What is the Abyssal Moon Spire?

This is the second part of the Abyss and runs from floor nine to twelve and the rewards will reset twice a month on the first and sixteenth days of the month based on the lunar cycle of “Another World”.

(1 of 2) Ley Lines can change the impact of a chamber, set your party accordingly

Ley Line Disorders

Ley Line Disorders grant unique buffs and debuffs to you and the enemies and can be the difference to completing a chamber so always make sure to read and understand it properly. For example, Pyro DMG dealt by all party members increased by 75% is just one of them, in this case you may consider bringing two Pyro characters instead of one.

Divergence

From Floor five onwards you will have to have two groups of your party as the Abyss will diverge into two paths, naturally you won’t be able to use the same characters in both parties so make sure to have at least eight members leveled.

Rewards

There are two sets of Rewards, one from the Abyssal Stars which is rewarded by completing the chamber within the specified parameters, there are three stars per chamber and these can reward you with 100 Primogems and some Mora for the first time completing each of them. The Chamber Rewards will give you Mora and some materials, The Abyssal Moon Spire can be repeated as much as you like.
