Difficulty Monsters
★★★★★★☆☆☆☆ Stalkoblin (horseback) x8

The fourth floor of the Final Trials is a battle against a gang of undead horsemen. The area is mostly open space, with a few trees and ruins to act as cover.

Strategy

The moment you enter this floor, five horseback Stalkoblin will charge towards you from the left. Unless you’ve feeling gung-ho, turn right and run towards a ruined building near the corner–and up the stairs. Since the Stalkoblin are all melee and won’t get off their horse, they’ll be unable to attack you.

(1 of 2) Dash towards the top of this rundown building.

Dash towards the top of this rundown building. (left), From here, you can throw bombs or shoot arrows at any nearby riders. (right)

From here, you can throw bombs and shoot arrows to dispatch any nearby Stalkoblin. Just be wary that the three Stalkoblin at the far-right corner (when facing the entrance) may notice you and come rushing in. Two of these are also melee, but there’s another who can shoot Shock Arrows–the most dangerous of the lot.

After killing the nearby Stalkoblin, jump on one of their Stalhorses and ride towards any straggling Stalkoblins. If you encounter another melee Stalkoblin, you can attack them with a spear (you may have to dismount to poke their head). Or preferably, jump off your horse and pull out your bow, then shoot their head to hopefully one-shot them.

(1 of 2) Ride towards any faraway Stalkoblin.

Ride towards any faraway Stalkoblin. (left), When you’re close enough, leap off and pull out your bow, aiming for a headshot. (right)

Be careful when facing the Stalkoblin with Shock Arrows near the far-right corner. You don’t want their arrows to hit you, because you’ll be stunned for a while and drop your gear. Due to the wet floor, the arrows can also electrocute you if they’re close enough. We suggest riding towards the tricky Stalkoblin, then leap off your horse to shoot them.

Once all the enemies are gone, don’t forget to grab all the good weapons they’ve left behind–especially the Dragonbone Boko Club.

(1 of 2) Kaboom these two crates behind the central wall.

Kaboom these two crates behind the central wall. (left), Inside, you’ll find some Shock Arrows. (right)

Also, search behind the ruined wall near the center of the floor. There are two wooden crates here containing arrows, including very useful Shock Arrows. Similarly, you’ll want to check out the ruined building near the corner furthest from the entrance. Inside, there are two wooden crates with valuable food items and whatnot.
