Faron Floating Platforms

By
Vincent Lau

This page details all the floating platforms found in the Faron region when playing Master Mode.

Locations of the floating platforms in the Faron region.

To simplify things, we’ve split the platforms into two categories. The first are those that are well within the boundaries of the Faron region. Meanwhile the second are those that border another region. Platforms in the second category will also be listed in the other region’s section.

Within Faron Region

The vast majority of the floating platforms are located in front of waterfalls. In general, you can reach them by gliding from the top of the waterfall. If you have the Zora armor equipped, you can swim up the waterfalls to save time.

Group 1

(1 of 2) Feel free to shoot the platforms down by popping the Sky Octoroks.

Firstly, there are two floating platforms on the south side of Floria Bridge. Both are guarded by Bokoblins with Shock Arrows. The platform nearer the west has a Topaz chest, while the eastern platform has a Duplex Bow chest.

Both chests are wooden and the platforms are slightly elevated, so it’s difficult to directly reach them. You could glide down from the southern highlands, for instance. Or you could shoot down the platforms and use Cryonsis to lift the chest(s) out of the water.

Group 2

(1 of 2) This platform is floating on the water initially.

Near Floria Bridge, there’s a single platform near the base of the first waterfall towards the west, along the north half of the lake. It’s directly north from the westernmost part of the bridge. The platform’s home to a Bokoblin archer. Next to it is a chest with a Lightning Rod.

If the Bokoblin hasn’t been alerted (for example, by approaching with Majora’s Mask), you can simply swim over to the platform, since it’s touching the water.

Group 3

(1 of 2) These three platforms are next to the waterfall north from the easternmost section of the bridge.

Near Floria Bridge, there’s a trio of platforms in front of the larger waterfall east from the previous one. It’s directly north of the easternmost section of the bridge. All three platforms are manned by Bokoblin archers. The middle platform has a chest with a Thunderspear.

We suggest gliding down from above. For your information, the chest here is metal, so you could shoot the middle platform down, then use Magnesis to fish out the chest from the water.

Group 4

(1 of 2) These platforms are near the waterfall to the south of Floria Bridge.

These platforms are near the waterfall to the south of Floria Bridge. (left), You can glide to the chests from higher ground or pop the balloons. (right)

Near Floria Bridge, there’s another trio of platforms in front of the waterfall towards the south, coming from Rassla Lake. All three are occupied by Fire Arrow shooting Bokoblins. The middle chest contains a Ruby, while the eastern chest has a Thunderblade.

These platforms are positioned near the bottom of the waterfall, but are elevated so you can’t reach them from nearby. You could glide down from the southern highlands (easy if you have the Zora armor). Or you could shoot down the platforms. There are some small islands/rocks nearby to stand on.

Group 5

(1 of 2) These platforms are near the second waterfall towards the west.

From Group 2, there’s a trio of platforms in front of the next waterfall to the north. Two of them are guarded by Bokoblins with Fire Arrows. The other platform has some wooden crates. Meanwhile, the south-west platform has a chest with a Giant Boomerang stashed inside.

We recommend gliding from near the top of the waterfall. You may need to climb up a tree to gain enough height. If you want to reach all three platforms in one go, aim for a platform with a Bokoblin. Then glide to the platform with the crates and set the crates on fire to create an updraft.

Group 6

(1 of 2) These platforms are near the base of the second waterfall along the east side.

From Group 3, there’s yet another trio of platforms in front of the next waterfall to the north, coming from the east. Two of the platforms are protected by Lizalfos with Shock Arrows. There’s also a third Lizalfos swimming around in the water.

The middle platform has a chest with a Forest Dweller’s Shield; the south-east platform has a chest with a Forest Dweller’s Bow. Conveniently, the platforms with chests are all touching the water to begin with. So you can simply swim over if you have Majora’s Mask camouflage.

Group 7

(1 of 2) This platform is located high above the Corta Lake waterfall.

From Group 5, there’s a lone platform positioned very high up, near the small waterfall further north, coming from Corta Lake. The chest here contains a Forest Dweller’s Spear. To reach the platform, you can glide down from near Riola Spring; you may need to climb up a tree for added height.

Group 8

(1 of 2) These two platforms are near the base of the Riola Spring waterfall.

Speaking of Riola Spring, there’s a pair of platforms in front of the waterfall coming from it, near the Shoda Sah Shrine. It’s further north from Group 6. Both are guarded by Bokoblin wielding Fire Arrows. The western chest has a Great Thunderblade, while the eastern chest has a Sapphire.

These platforms are floating near the bottom of the waterfall, but are elevated so you can’t directly reach them from nearby. If you have the Zora armor (or love climbing), you could glide down from near the top of the waterfall. Otherwise, you could shoot the platforms and use Cryonis/Magnesis to recover the chests.

Group 9

(1 of 2) These three platforms are near the top of the Calora Lake waterfall.

A short distance north-east from Floria Bridge, there are three platforms in front of the waterfall coming from Calora Lake. It’s near the Qukah Naka Shrine and east from Group 3. All three are manned by Bokoblins packing Shock Arrows. The middle platform has a Thunderstorm Rod chest.

These platforms are positioned near the top of the waterfall. The simplest way to reach them is to glide down from near the waterfall source (easy if you activated the shrine already).

Group 10

(1 of 2) You can glide to these platforms from the tower or the nearby ledge.

Last but not least, there are three platforms north of Faron Tower. Two of the platforms are guarded by Bokoblins with Shock/Ice Arrows. The south-west chest has a Vicious Sickle, while the south-east chest contains a Ruby.

To reach these, you can glide down from the top of the tower or the nearby ledge, where you can farm Hearty Durians.

Bordering Faron Region

Group L

(1 of 2) This is another easy chest to grab with Magnesis.

This is another easy chest to grab with Magnesis. (left), Inside, there’s a durable Royal Shield. (right)

Towards the east edge of the Lake region, at the boundary with the Faron region, there’s a lone platform next to Sarjon Bridge. A Bokoblin wielding a Lynel Bow with Bomb Arrows is on the watch here. Next to it is a chest with a Royal Shield. If the Bokoblin hasn’t noticed, you can snatch the chest with Magnesis.
