Difficulty Monsters
★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Fire Chuchu x1, Bokoblin x4

This is the second floor of the Beginning Trials. While the previous floor was fairly simple, you’ll need to use your noggin a little here.

Ahead, there’s a Fire Chuchu bumbling about, setting the grass on fire. Further ahead, there’s a Bokoblin encampment that’s home to 4 Bokoblin. The main encampment is raised up and cannot be reached from the ground.

Strategy

To keep things simple, you may want to eliminate the Chuchu first. Roll a bomb towards it, then detonate it. Be wary that the bomb may get caught by an updraft of wind, caused by the burning grass nearby. If the Bokoblin notice something, keep away until they become passive again.

(1 of 2) Climb up the tree on the left side of the camp.

Similar to the previous floor, carefully approach the tree on the left side of the camp (it’s the one where the Red Chuchu is near). Climb up to the top, then throw a bomb onto the raised platform where 3 Bokoblin are. The Bokoblin should walk up to the bomb–it’s almost like they’re asking to be blown up!

From your position, you should be able to blow up at least two of the Bokoblin. The third one–an archer–may be slightly too far away to lure. But if you can bomb it as well, then great!

Otherwise, note that archer’s position, then glide down to the platform and bomb them from there. If the Fire Chuchu is still alive, you can ride the updrafts to the platform instead.

If you land on the platform, be wary of another archer on a mini-tower further away. Chances are, they will spot you and start shooting. However, you can use the tree in the center of the platform to protect yourself.

(1 of 2) If you haven’t been spotted, you can stealthily approach the mini-tower.

If you haven’t been spotted, you can stealthily approach the mini-tower. (left), As you climb the ladder, the Bokoblin should notice you. But it has poor reflexes. (right)

In any case, once you’ve slain the three Bokoblin on the raised platform, jump back down to the ground. Then run/crawl (depending on if you’ve been spotted) towards the base of the archer’s mini-tower, where the ladder is. Climb up the ladder, then quickly bash the archer in.

When the coast is clear, remember to pick up both bows belonging to the archers–these will come in very handy for hitting faraway enemies. Also, blow up all the barrels and crates on the raised platform/near the mini-tower. By doing this, you should find some arrows to use with your new-found bows.
