A unmarked area in Cambridge, the North Kendall Raider Camp is, fittingly enough, due north from [Kendall Hospital], just past a Raider barricade. You can also get there by following the road south from Plumber’s Secret.

(1 of 3) Surrounding the raider camp you’ll find numerous Frag Mines.

Exploring North Kendall Raider Camp

Regardless of where you approach, the signs you’re nearby are unmistakable; aside from the calls of alarm from the local Raiders (assuming you’re not all that sneaky) you’ll find the road outside the camp littered with Frag Mines. Disarm them to prevent any mischief while also enriching yourself, then seek out some gates along the western side of the camp. This is, surprisingly, the only viable approach, as the Raiders have secured their camp well.

Through the gates you’ll find a bonfire roaring merrily, along with a Cooking Station set a little too close for comfort. This is the least of your concerns, however, as the place is, naturally, crawling with Raiders. Expect around a half dozen of them, mostly occupying various ruins surrounding the bonfire. Use VATS to pick them out if you’re having trouble spotting them and be wary of the odd Machinegun Turret they may have propped up in their abodes.

While these Raiders may be annoying due to how spread out they are and because they - unlike you - can actually use cover, they shouldn’t be too difficult to handle from a sheer stats perspective. Most of the Raiders will not be leveled (nor the turrets, for that matter) although you should expect one or two exceptions (don’t be surprised to spot a Raider Psycho or other mid-tier Raider lurking about).

Your reward for clearing this area is dubious at best, as aside from a Steamer Trunk and the First Aid Box or Chem Cooler, there’s not a whole lot of interest to plunder. Disappointing as that may be, you can at least use the Raider’s beds to recover any lost health, making this a fairly painless area to clear. Not like the Raiders need them anymore.
