Fallout 4

Cambridge Overview

By
Nathan Garvin

Details about the Cambridge region in Fallout 4.

Cambridge is located south and southeast of Lexington, and despite its proximity, it is generally much more dense and dangerous than the aforementioned area. Within the confines of Cambridge you can expect to encounter raiders, super mutants, ghouls and, to a lesser degree, mirelurks, among other critters. You should definitely not expect to explore Cambridge all in one go, rather instead aiming to clear an area or two, return to a settlement to stash loot and heal, then return.

Unlike Lexington, there is no Cambridge map marker… most likely because what was the heart of Cambridge is now a crater - which does have [its own map marker]. The Cambridge region extends from [College Square] in the west to Monsignor Plaza in the east, with the elevated highway running from Tucker Memorial Bridge south and southeast dividing the Cambridge region from the much smaller [Charleston] region, which consists of the BADTFL Regional Office, Bunker Hill and the [USS Constitution]. We’ll defer exploring those areas until a bit later. It should also be noted that there are a few quests attached to the areas in Cambridge, including [Fire Support in the Cambridge Police Station] area and [Cambridge Polymer Labs] in the area of the same name.

For the purposes of navigation, this guide will consider the following areas part of Cambridge:

All of the above save for [Greenetech Genetics], which is inaccessible until you progress the main questline, will be covered in the following section. In addition, the following unmarked areas will receive their own pages:

Suffice to say, there’s an awful lot to see and do in and around Cambridge, and you’ll be more than ready for the trip to [Diamond City] once you’re done with Cambridge.
