This quest begins as soon as you arrive in Dublin, Ireland, after speaking with Azar during Irish Adventure.
After you’ve met Eivor’s cousin Barid, your first task will be to follow him and Azar to the King’s Hall, in the southeast of Dublin. When you reach the hall, take some time to speak with Azar. You’ll be able to learn a bit more from them about Barid’s son, Sichfrith, which you can choose to disarm him with later. Once you’ve spoken to Azar, you can speak with a nearby Irish Man before meeting Barid and his son in the south of the hall.
When you approach Barid and his son, a cutscene will initiate during which a conflict plays out between the two of them. You’ll have to engage in a fist fight with Sichfrith after this scene, but he won’t prove much of a challenge. After the fight you’ll be outside with Sichfrith where you’ll have an opportunity to ask a few questions about his father, and the prospect of visiting Norway. You’ll need to find Barid at his father’s grave after the conversation.
Where to Find Barid at the Grave near Gortknaw¶
Barid’s father’s grave is located south of Dublin, under a large tree just southwest of Gortknaw. When you arrive at the area a cutscene will begin. Eivor and Barid will reminisce about their past together, then you’ll need to escort Barid back to the King’s Hall. As you’re walking back you’ll be ambushed by bandits, including a Wolfhound Master and an Irish Wolfhound. These are similar to other bandit mobs with wolf companions that you will have encountered in England, and they won’t be much trouble with Barid at your side.
Once you’ve defeated the bandits you can continue on to the King’s Hall. Another cutscene will play here, and the quest will complete.
