Where to Find Dain the Lifeless One¶

You’ll find the noble stag, Dain the Lifeless One, standing beside a path in the woods. Approach him to begin the mystery. You’ll need to follow him southwest, and you will most likely run into groups of Jotnar here. Keep an eye on where Dain is heading while you kill the Jotnar, as he won’t slow down or wait for you.

Follow the Stags to the Treasure Chest¶

As you continue to follow Dain you’ll eventually meet other noble stags including Duneyr, Durathor, Dvalin, and Eikthyrnir. As you near the end of the trail you will encounter some wolves, most of which are harmless and in spirit form. At least one of them will be real, though, so you’ll need to kill them. At the end of the trail all of the stags will disappear, and a treasure chest will spawn. Loot the chest for an Ymir’s Tear Stone, and the mystery will complete.
