Where to Find the Champion of the Faith in River Severn¶
There are two monasteries along the River Severn, consisting of an Island Monastery in the centre of the region, and a Northern Monastery in the northeast. You may find the Champion of the Faith at either location, although we found them at the Northern Monastery in all our runs. The location of each monastery is shown in the map below.

---|---|
Island Monastery | Central Island |
Northern Monastery | Northeast |

As you raid through each monastery, you’ll encounter numerous elite soldiers that you’ll need to fight through. Once you’ve broken through the first level of defences and moved further into the monastery grounds, you’ll trigger a cutscene during which the Champion of the Faith will appear. The Champion is accompanied by two large and powerful bodyguards, in addition to other elite units. The fight should be relatively easy regardless, so long as you have a decent amount of high level Jomsvikings with you.
We fought the Champion on standard difficulty and then nightmare difficulty, the only real difference being the frequency of special attacks from the enemies, and how hard they hit. You’ll need to be careful to avoid the chain attacks from both the Champion and her bodyguards, as these can inflict massive amounts of damage if you’re caught off guard. Other than that, the fight should be fairly simple.

How to Get Rollo’s Lost Dane Axe¶
Once you’ve defeated all the enemies and the Champion, be sure to interact with the Champion’s body to trigger another brief cutscene, during which you’ll receive the two-handed Rollo’s Lost Dane Axe. The quest will complete after this.
