This mystery can be found in eastern Hamtunscire, northeast of Wincestre, AC Valhalla.

When you reach the area of the mystery in the village of Fearnhamme, you’ll have to keep your cloak on to avoid any unwanted attention from nearby guards. You can then find and speak with Gerhild, a woman who is shouting at some hares in a nearby field. When you speak with Gerhild, she’ll tell you that the hares are causing her significant trouble.

Kill the Hares in the Field¶

Once you’ve spoken to Gerhild, you’ll need to kill all the hares in the field. You can use Odin’s Sight to highlight each of them if necessary. When all the hares are dead, Gerhild will erupt with joy. A short while after, her husband, Ahlstan, will come running to the field in despair. It turns out the hares were his only friends, and he had named each of them. You can speak with both Ahlstan and Gerhild once the mystery is complete, to gain some insight into their unhappy marriage.
