This page details the locations of all Heroic Sagas in Svartalfheim. There are 12 to be found in total throughout the regions of Gullnamar, Svaladal, Vangrinn, and Eitri. You will need to acquire all 12 to complete the Heroic Scholar quest.

Heroic Sagas in Gullnamar¶

There are x4 Heroic Sagas to collect in the Gullnámar region.

Gaefuleysi and the Belching Giant - Old City, Uldar¶

This Heroic Saga fragment can be found in the Old City region of Uldar. It’s found in a room all the way at the top of the Old City “building”. You can make your way up the Old City area as though it’s a dungeon, or you could just climb up the column propping up the bridge that’s also at the top. You’ll find the Heroic Saga on a desk in a fancy library at the end of the bridge!

Gaefuleysi and the Witch - Stifla Mylna¶

This Heroic Saga is found in Stifla Mylna, a raiding camp found on Vandkleif River northeast of Grenhelm Shelter. The Heroic Saga is found in a building in the camp and you’ll have to climb into the window on the upper floor to gain access.

Gaefuleysi and the Invincible Man - Onarthorp¶

This Heroic Saga fragment is found in Onarthorp, which is a small hamlet in the southern region of Gullnámar. You’ll be able to find the saga fragment nailed to a big tree.

Gaefuleysi and the Rancid Troll - Hreidmar Palace¶

This Heroic Saga fragment is found in Hreidmar Palace, which is located in the southern region of Gullnámar. You’ll need to head all the way up to the top courtyard. This area is swarming with enemies, and you’ll likely have to stealthily take a few out or have a full blown fight in order to grab the fragment. It can be found on the floor near some crates.

Heroic Sagas in Svaladal¶

There are 4 Heroic Sagas to find in this region.

Gaefuleysi and the Bandits¶

This Heroic Saga scroll can be found at Fidsthorp. It can be found lying on a crate on the upper floor of the building. You can get up there by climbing up the outside and onto the balcony.

Gaefuleysi and the Cursed Mead¶

This Heroic Saga scroll can be found on a small island in the middle of a pond north of Jordeygr Shelter. It’s found near a tree in a small campsite on the island.

Gaefuleysi and the One-Eyed Elf¶

This Heroic Saga scroll can be found southeast of Midalstifla. More specifically, you’ll find it in a cave, which can only be accessed by teleporting using the Power of Jotunheim. If you haven’t got the power yet, you can obtain it from some nearby dead bodies and there’s also a hugr tree by the cave that you can refill your hugr bar at.

Gaefuleysi and Thor’s Small Manhood¶

This Heroic Saga scroll can be found at the top of the Austri-Stifla dam in northern Svaladal. You can either reach it by scaling the dam, going around via the hills to the east and west, or you could just use Power of the Raven to fly right up and save yourself the time!

Heroic Sagas in Vangrinn¶

There are two Heroic Sagas to be found in Vangrinn: Gaefuleysi and the Cursed Fairy, and Gaefuleysi and the Boring Fight.

Gaefuleysi and the Cursed Fairy - Jofurrsmida, Southeast Vangrinn¶

The Gaefuleysi and the Cursed Fairy saga can be found in Jofurrsmida, southeast Vangrinn which is south of Eitri as shown in the screenshot below. The saga can be found in a building within Jofurrsmida, but you’ll need to obtain a key from one of the nearby enemies to enter the part of the building where the saga is located. Use Odin’s Sight to highlight all enemies in the area, then look for the one with a key icon above their head.

Once you have the key, just open the door to the building on the ground floor and then enter to find the saga just up the stairs.

Gaefuleysi and the Boring Fight - Feigarder, Southern Vangrinn¶

The Gaefuleysi and the Boring Fight saga can be found in the island fortress of Feigarder, in southern Vangrinn. You’ll explore this area during the Pride of the Aesir main quest. To access the saga you’ll need to loot all the keys from the central room inside the fortress, then go to the eastern cells on the same level as the central chamber where you found all the keys. Here you’ll find a cell which holds the saga within.

Heroic Sagas in Eitri¶

There are two Heroic Sagas in Eitri: Gaefuleysi and the Spikey Giant saga, and the Gaefuleysi and the Bear saga.

Gaefuleysi and the Spikey Giant - Northwest of Maekinn¶

The Gaefuleysi and the Spikey Giant saga can be found in a ruined building northwest of Maekinn, in southwest Eitri. You can fly to the building using the Power of the Raven, then move the barricades blocking the way to where the saga is stored, as shown in the screenshots below.

Gaefuleysi and the Bear - West of Bjarg Head¶

The Gaefuleysi and the Bear saga can be found in a mostly-buried building west of Bjarg Head, in northeast Eitri. To access the building, you’ll need to destroy the barricade at the front door using the Incendiary Powder Trap ranged ability. Alternatively, if you don’t have this ability you can use a fire pot, which can be found behind a movable barricade in the stone ruins just to the northwest of the house door. Once inside you’ll find the saga among some other scrolls.
