This page details all you need to know about the Taken for Granted settlement quest in Ravensthorpe, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

How to Start the Taken for Granted Settlement Quest in Ravensthorpe

This quest becomes available after completing Reporting on East Anglia. When you speak with Randvi, you will see the option “Are you alright?” Select this and continue to encourage Randvi to take some time out by choosing “Let’s go to Grantebridgescire.”.

After convincing Randvi to ride with you to Grantebridgescire in an effort to relief her of duties for a while, the route you take there is entirely up to you. You can go on foot and swim over the river, on horseback, or you can take a small boat from the docks of Ravensthorpe. We liked the last option best. If you choose to go by boat, you’ll need to take command of the boat before Randvi will join you on it. Once she’s placed herself at the front of the boat, you’re good to go.

Rowing southeast along the Nene River will bring you to the junction at Wayfarer’s Wharf. Here you should continue southeast toward Duroliponte and the Great Ouse River, where you can bank at the docks of Grantebridge. Whatever option you choose, Randvi will comment on the landscape as you go. When you reach Grantebridge, head for the longhouse, listening to Randvi’s comments along the way.

(1 of 4) Ask Randvi if there’s something wrong when you speak with her.

When you enter the longhouse Magni will greet you and inform you about some recent trouble with bandits. You should offer to help with the bandits, as Randvi will insist regardless. You’ll find their camp, Raetborough, northeast of Grantebridge. As you make your way to the eastern gate Randvi will have a few things to say, so don’t run off too quickly. You can mount up here if you want, and Randvi will hop on the back.

When you reach the camp all you need to do is eliminate all the bandits within it. The only elite unit within the camp is a Goliath, but hitting them in their weak spot (torso) and then exploiting their weakness with a stun attack will bring them to a swift end. As soon as all the bandits are dead Randvi will mount Magni’s horse. Mount your own and then follow her back to Grantebridge.

After speaking with Magni, Randvi will challenge you to a drinking contest nearby. You shouldn’t underestimate Randvi here. This will likely be the most difficult drinking contest you’ve yet encountered, and one mistake could all but ensure your loss. Win or lose, the outcome will be the same: Randvi will ask you to travel with her to the Sunken Tower, located northwest of Grantebridge.

(1 of 5) Speak with Magni in the longhouse at Grantebridge.

The easiest way to get to the Sunken Tower is by horse. Ride over the bridge to Duroliponte, then northwest through the countryside. Along the way Randvi will have some questions about your relationship with Soma. When you near the tower, Randvi will suggest that you take the bridge to the southwest. When you reach it she’ll have a few words, then you should follow her by climbing to the top of the tower.

Story Choices - Should You Start a Relationship with Randvi?

When you reach the top of the tower a cutscene will begin, during which Randvi will reveal her feelings for Eivor. At this point you’ll have the following dialogue options:

  1. I feel the same way.

  2. Now is not the right time.

  3. I care for you as a friend.

Regardless of your choice, once it is made a brief cutscene will play, at the end of which the quest will complete.

(1 of 4) The location of the Sunken Tower, northwest of Grantebridge.
