Thorstein: Dignified Execution, Brutal Death, or Display of Cruelty?

Now that you’ve captured Thorstein, you can tie him up and carry him to the Royal Hall. A cutscene will play out here, during which Eivor will be presented with a choice regarding the method of execution for Thorstein. You’ll have the following three choices:

“A dignified execution.”

Eivor suggests that Barid should execute Thorstein in a dignified manner, showing that he can lead in accordance with the law. Sichfrith supports this method.

“A brutal death.”

Eivor suggests that Thorstein should die a traitor’s death, to show that disloyalty will be brutally punished.

“A display of cruelty.”

Eivor suggests that the people would enjoy a public spectacle in the form of a display of cruelty.

It doesn’t actually matter what you choose here, as Barid will have his own plan and let Thorstein go, albeit exiled, citing that he wants to show that he can follow the Christian way when necessary.
