Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Trial of the Morrigan

By
Seren Morgan-Roberts

This page will offer a walkthrough of the two Trials of the Morrigan found in the county of Connacht in Ireland.

Trial of the Morrigan near Lough Rea

This Trial of the Morrigan is found near the lake named Lough Rea, just west of Athlone trade post. The focus of this trial is fire, and you’ll notice several oil vases around the trial area, and there are a few Elite Fire Druids in the fight.

Your first instinct might be to shoot the oil vases nearby the enemies, but this only cause a small explosion and instead cover the ground in oil. This will make the Fire Druids’ fire breath attack much more deadly as it’ll also set the ground ablaze and burn you for extra damage if you’re standing in the oil. So, your best bet is to avoid the oil vases and make sure to keep an eye out for the Druids’ signal that they’re about to breath fire or throw fire bombs as these are their most powerful attacks.

Trial of Morrigan North of Kesh Corann

This Trial is found north of Kesh Corann and southwest of Port Auley. The main focus of this fight is the Werewolf and the Wolf Sorceress! You’ll want to deal with the Werewolf as soon as possible and then deal with the weaker enemies once he’s out of the way. Keep your guard up though, as the other enemies will sometimes throw dirt rocks at you that set fire to the ground! The Wolf Sorceress can also breath fire so watch out for that too!
