Speak to the Old Guard¶
This mystery can be found on an island west of Repton and southwest of Woden’s Eye. To begin the mystery, you’ll need to sit on the bench opposite the old man. After a short discussion he will give you the key to his home, so you can take his loot.

Search for the Old Guard’s Home¶
The man’s house is found near the dock and behind a large tree. There are a fair few homes near the dock and behind some tree or other, but the one you want is directly south from Woden’s Eye and west from the Repton synchronization point. The tree you’re looking for is large and branchy, so once you’ve spotted that specific tree, you’ll find the house just behind it. The house is identifiable by its door, which has a big lock on it that indicates that it needs unlocking.
Inside, you’ll find various different loot, including a bracelet and some silver. You’ll also come across a crate, which Eivor will want to take back to the old man, as it is full of songs.

Return the Crate of Songs¶
To complete this quest, you’ll need to carry the crate of songs back to the Old Guard on his small island. You’ll need to use a rowing boat to take them over, but there are a few to choose from near the dock so it won’t be tricky finding one. Drop the crate near the man’s camp and then speak with him to complete the mystery.
