Follow Hrorek to the Jarl¶
You will find Hrorek shouting for assistance on the road northwest of Haervik Shipyard. He will ask you to follow him to get to the bandits who have taken his Jarl. You’ll need to follow him on horseback, and you can summon your mount by pressing ‘X’ and the mounting using ‘E’.
Now if you had guessed by now that this seems like a trap, then you would be right. Hrorek leads you straight into a group of bandits that begin shooting at you from behind some rocks. Before you leap off your horse to fight them, try your hand at a bit of horseback archery and shoot some of them. Remember, shooting in weak points aswell as in the head deals extra damage.
You can shoot your bow whilst also riding your horse!
When you’re off your horse, using your bow to shoot approaching bandits will also be very useful. A couple of shots to the head or to the weak spot will kill them quickly and is much easier and safer than melee combat. But don’t worry if you don’t have any arrows, the bandits are relatively weak and as long as you try to fight them one-by-one you shouldn’t have too much of an issue. Try not to let them chase you as they’ll collect together and fighting them will be much harder if they’re in a group.

When you’ve killed all the bandits, talk to Hrorek again. He can be found cowering near one of the large boulders. When you’ve spoken to Hrorek, you’ll complete the Mystery and earn 1,200 EXP and 19 Silver. You should also loot the dead bandits for extra materials, silver and arrows.
