Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Anomaly - Hlutrholt

By
Scott Peers

This anomaly mystery can be found in the north of the large island in the west of Hordafylke, AC Valhalla.

Hlutrholt Anomaly, Hordafylke.

How to Complete the Hlutrholt Anomaly in Hordafylke

The mystery will begin when you interact with the anomaly. This is one of the more straightforward anomaly puzzles, but you’ll need to make sure you time things correctly to get through the moving red blocks. The first red block that you encounter is easy: just wait for it to move either side of the platform and jump over the platform when the red block is on the other side. You’ll be safe on the next platform while you wait for the next two red blocks. Wait for the one on the left to move toward you, then follow it when it begins to move forward again. You’ll need to turn right and jump onto the obelisk platform when the right red block passes by, then continue on to the projector.

Once you’re at the projector, aim it at the unstable structure to your left so that you can use it to jump to the circular platform. When you’re atop the circular platform you’ll be met with another red block. This one is easy to avoid, since it moves incredibly slowly. You’ll then have to navigate some moving stable platforms, which again shouldn’t be a problem, and onto another slow moving red block before reaching another circular platform. After you’ve climbed this second circular platform you’ll find another projector to your right. Direct the beam at the moving unstable structure when it’s in the centre of its movement pattern, as shown in the screenshot below. This will allow you to reach another projector to on a platform in the corner to your right, but you’ll need to navigate some movable platforms to reach it.

When you reach the second projector in the corner to your right, direct the beam at the unstable structure to the left ahead of you. Now go back to the projector behind you and direct the beam at the same platform, but wait for it to move to the left by removing the beam from it for a brief period. You can then use the unstable structure (now made stable on the left) to reach another circular platform.

On this next circular platform you’ll see two fast moving red blocks moving up and down the projected path. Stand to the left and wait for the red block on this side to reach you, then follow it as soon as it begins to move forward. This will give you enough time to reach the obelisk near the centre of the platform path, where you can wait to consider your next move. While you’re on top of the obelisk, wait for the left red block to move by you, then again jump down and follow it immediately. You’ll need to keep to the right once you’ve jumped down and hop over the obelisks on this side before the red block moving on the right hits you.

After this, you’ll be able to use the hand holds to climb up to the next part of the puzzle. Here you’ll encounter another slow moving red block which you can easily avoid, then jump along the moving platforms to reach the projector on your right. Direct this beam away from the unstable structure and let it move upwards twice, then direct the beam back at it to secure it in place. You can now jump over a few more platforms with slow moving red blocks until you reach another platform with handholds, leading to the final platform. Here you will encounter one last obstruction in the form of a red wave. Wait for it to arrive and dissipate, then run up to the obelisk on your right. Wait atop this until the wave passes again, then run to the end of the anomaly to avoid it.
