Boss: Aimee and Angelo

Boss Level HP Weakness
Aimee 54 50000 Nothing
Angelo 54 45000 Nothing

There’s no denying Aimee and Angelo were fearsome bosses in their own right and now you have to face the lovebirds together. But with the power of foresight and your improved arsenal, this battle is potentially a piece of cake (pun intended).

Hopefully you were smart enough to equip the Life Rope on one of your physical attackers and stock up on Magic Bottles from any good Trader. Like Angelo’s debut battle, you may have to deal with the tricky Ghost state, which renders your characters unable to perform physical actions.

Aimee begins by using Firehead to imbue her weapon with the fire element. Afterwards, she’ll Brave twice to unleash two attacks and one Maverick, leaving her a sitting duck for two turns. Or she may Default and afterwards unleash two lots of Shrike, which land on a later turn.

Angelo prefers to use Flambee to deal fire-based damage to your party, inflicting greater damage the more BP you’ve accumulated, or Fire Cake to make your party weak to fire-based attacks. On occasions, he’ll use Phantom Cake to make a character a ghost.

As you can imagine, this duo is deadly if tackled without proper care. With your characters weak to fire, Aimee and Angelo’s attacks will drop them like flies. Plus there’s the added annoyance of ghost. But there’s one thing you can do to completely trivialise this battle: Fire Mirror Blast.

If you have a high level Astrologian with the Spellcraft ability, you can combine Elemental Mirror - Fire with Blast (or Mist) to make your party reflect fire-based physical attacks. In other words, 90% of the pair’s attacks. Ghost isn’t even a problem, since Fire Mirror Blast is magic.

With your party protected from harm, you can unleash your own barrage of attacks at your leisure. Angelo is the weakest link here, so take him down first. Just be aware that Ghost overrides Fire Reflect, in case you need to pull that character back from the brink.

For a laugh, you could field your own Patissier and use Flaming Foundant (Biscuit + Chantilly) to make Aimee and Angelo weak to fire attack. Then watch as their attacks comedically backfire on themselves. You could even buff the lovebirds to really drive in the joke.

The Thick

After removing the blockade, exit via the north to reach the thick of the gardens. Beyond, speak to Tsubaki, the orange cat chilling next to the north-west side of the prepice. With their ingenious plan put into motion, our heroes have finished all they need to do here.

Use a Teleport Stone to quickly leave the gardens, back to the world map. Outside, call on the Rubadub and use its Auto-Pilot capability to soar straight towards Sagitta Village.
