Giving Chase

Back to Gathelatio

Well, it looks like your pope is in another castle. Or rather, the castle has relocated itself to the land of Ancheim. Sadly, our heroes can’t fly to give chase, but perhaps they can find a sea-worthy vessel back in Gathelatio?

Use Update Data once per day to get new guest profiles and Fort-Lune workers!

You’ll regain control on the world map, just outside Central Command. Follow the snowy mountain path directly south back to Eternia City. While you’re in Eternia, purchase the Heal and Antidote Holy Magic scrolls from the Magics store (unless you had the foresight and pg to do so earlier).

Once you’re ready to move on, exit Eternia City via the south, then head in a generally west direction back to Pilgrim’s Grove. Instead of entering the grove, opt to “cross to the other side”; you’ll pop up on the opposite side of Pilgrim’s Grove on the world map.

From here, it’s a casual stroll west to Gathelatio, the town where everything begun.

A Fine Vessel…

Follow Yew’s advice and make your way to the docks by heading directly south from the entrance and then going east when you hit the sea. Once there, speak to the lone person. Sadly, no boats are available from Gathelatio, but to the group’s surprise, Edea’s master comes along with a rowboat.

Having secured a vessel, head for Gathelatio’s sanctum, by climbing the stairways to the upper streets and traveling directly west. At the far end, the remnants of the Crystalguard remnants await Yew’s consel. After a stirring speech, exit the Sanctum.

Outside, Yew’s companions heap praise upon him much to his embarrassment. In any case, a big day awaits tomorrow, so as soon as you can, return to Yew’s manor to the far east of Gathelatio. The next day, exit the manor and return to the pier just before the docks.

On the west side, Kamiizumi is waiting with his rowboat. When you believe you’re prepared to depart, speak to Kamiizumi to set forth.

The Shallow Seas

The phrase “better than nothing” couldn’t be more appropriate here.

Although it’s not the sturdiest of ships, Kamiizumi’s rowboat is just the ticket you need to reaching Ancheim. From Gathelatio, set sail in a westerly direction, then follow the shallow waters south-west until you reach land. Next, follow the shallows south and around the green landmass.

Once you’ve passed the green landmass, you’ll be sailing along the side of the Harena continent where Ancheim is located. However the nearest shore is a ways off, so continue onwards, while following the shallows. Very soon, you’ll stumble upon a quick cutscene.

After that disruption, carry along on your course and before long, you’ll hit the end of the shallows and a patch of shore where you can finally disembark. Back on land, you should notice a town just ahead. If your party is still in one piece, head east first and hug the south-east corner for a Wakeup Bell .
