Description¶
This page offers a guide on grabbing the secret Shine Sprite in Episode 2 of Sirena Beach. This area is accessed via the pipe on the roof of the house at the Plaza Square once you’ve cleared Episode 4 of Pinna Park and defeated Shadow Mario back in Delfino Plaza.
Collect all the Red Coins¶
In order to begin searching for this secret Shine, you’ll need to head back to Episode 2: The Hotel Lobby’s Secret and once again make your way into the mouth of the Boo statue, whisking you off to the secret course but this time, with your trusty FLUDD.
Begin by heading through this part of the course until you reach the giant red button and, upon using a Ground Pound, you’ll begin the search. Start by following the sand path on the left to snag the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Red coins before heading to the end of the Melon path to pocket the 4th Red coin. Head back to the start of this Melon Block path now and break one of the first blocks to head down the makeshift stairs, come back on yourself at the bottom and use the Hover Nozzle to reach the underside of the stairs where you’ll find the 5th Red coin.
Break one of the stair blocks by jumping underneath is and make your way across the rotating cog to reach the sand Pyramid. The final 3 Red Coins can be found on here with the first easily reached by using a Side Somersault off the wheel and hovering over. The other two are found on either side, collect them and make your way over to pocket another Shine.
