Description¶

This level is available when there is a Cosmic Comet in orbit in Gold Leaf Galaxy.

Racing Cosmic Mario¶

The best advice to follow when participating in any cosmic Mario race is to long jump wherever possible. This is particularly true in this level as there are a few opportunities to long jump across some shortcuts. Here are some examples of when you can long jump:

• Long jump onto the boxes - As you’re running up the hill, try to long jump onto the boxes rather than just performing a regular jump. It will help you keep up speed and might even land you in 1st place and give you a good lead for the rest of the race.

• Long jump onto the wooden planks - You may notice Cosmic Mario longjump from the planks jutting out from the hexagonal platform over to the other planks. You should definitely follow in his footsteps as going around will take much longer.

You’ll need to use some shortcuts to get ahead of Cosmic Mario.

As well as performing long jumps wherever possible, you could also try to do some triple jumps as you climb up the various block obstacles in this race. Don’t focus all of your efforts on trying to land the perfect triple jump sequence though, as it could just end up slowing you down if you do it wrong, and they’re not necessary for gaining an advantage.

At the end of the course, you’ll find a power star. You’ll only be able to grab it if you’re first place in the race.
