Description¶
This page offers a guide on grabbing the Shine Sprite in Episode 2 of Noki Bay. This area is accessed by looking into the sun near the Shine Gate once you’ve collected 20 Shines back in Delfino Plaza.
Gooper Blooper Rematch¶
Episode 2 sees a rematch against an old foe, Gooper Blooper from Ricco Harbor. Before you can trade blows however, you’ll first need to make your way to him so begin by heading straight across the platforms ahead of you to reach the other side and near the end, you’ll reach a bouncing platform that will take you up to a higher platform. Turn to the wall here and you’ll notice a colored square that looks different to the rest, spray it and you’ll create a new path up the cliff.
Hover over and use Wall Kicks to get yourself up higher before heading to the right and taking care of the Blooper there. Once again, shoot the nearby square on the wall and return to using Wall Kicks to scale the cliff, using the Hover Nozzle to head around to the side and continue your ascent up the slope.

Once you reach the top, be prepared to battle Gooper Blooper as there’s no cutscenes before the battle begins. Start by defeating the pesky regular Bloopers first before you turn your attention to Gooper Blooper himself. The battle itself is a relatively simple one and he follows the exact same tactics he used in Episode 5 of Ricco Harbor albeit at a faster pace.
Evade his tentacles and then pull back on them to remove them, granting you access to his mouth. Pull this back twice to deal direct damage to him and you’ll end this relatively simple rematch. As for your prize, drop down the large hole that Gooper Blooper was sat on and you’ll find the Shine at the bottom.
