Description¶
This is the second level in Deep Dark Galaxy. In this level, you can also find the hidden star level, Boo in a Box.
Defeat the Undergrunt Gunner¶
First off, you’ll need to defeat the Undergrunt Gunner as he is covering the cannon. To do this, you’ll need to spin attack the nearby coconuts into his machine. Do this three times to defeat him for good. Whilst you’re battling the Undergrunt Gunner, watch out for the Crabbers. He will also be shooting bubbles at you, which can make you float away if you don’t spin out of them quick enough.
Fire Flower and Ice Flower¶
Once the Undergrunt Gunner is defeated, you’ll need to use the cannon to head over to the Octoguys’ planet again. You can choose whether or not you want to defeat them using the Rainbow Star. Either way, you need to quickly grab the Fire Flower and head back to the starting planet using the Sling Star. When you’re back at the beach, run over to the gate and shoot the three beacons to light them. Remember, you only have a limited amount of time, so try to be quick. You can always make a second trip to grab another Fire Flower if your powers run out though. Once the three beacons are lit, an Ice Flower will spawn.

Using the Ice Flower, you’ll need to make your way across the lake. Then, quickly jump up the water spouts to then get to the pole. From there, climb up to the higher platform and make your way to the left and use the swing poles to get over to the other platform. From there, you’ll need to jump onto the moving platform to grab the Golden ? Coin. The platform will disappear, which might take you by surprise, but you need to quickly spin to use the Sling Stars around you.
Bubble Blasters¶
During this next section, you’ll need to use a series of Bubble Blasters to make your way upwards. Along the way, you’ll have to face some fire shooters and a Magikoopa. When you reach the top the final Bubble Blaster will take you off the planet and towards a small Cheep Cheep planet.
Cheep Cheep Planet¶
On this planet, you’ll need to watch out for the jumping Cheep Cheeps. You need to groundpound the three tree stumps to turn on the Bubble Blaster. Then, when the Bubble Blaster is on, jump into one of the bubbles to get to the next planet.

Watermelon Planet¶
On this planet, you’ll need to groundpound the tennis balls into the watermelon. Whilst you’re groundpounding the three balls, you’ll need to watch out for the laser rings. When you groundpound the watermelon three times, it’ll become huge and burst from the glass casing, causing a Power Star to pop up.
