The castle holds a special secret for those that collect all 120 stars. Once you have collected them all, head outside the main doors in the lobby and look for that one cannon that had a metal grating covering its opening. It should now be open, so go inside the cannon and shoot yourself onto the roof. Should you have all of the stars, then you will see…

Yoshi up there, all by himself. If you speak to Yoshi, then he will hand over two rewards for fully completing the game. Not only will you receive 100 lives, but your Triple Jump will also be special. Instead of the normal Triple Jump, the third one will have Mario releasing some sparkles and form a ball. Note that this Triple Jump will take away your ability to Wall Jump on that third jump, so it’s a bit of a downgrade.
