This can be a tricky course to get 100 coins on, since there is a slide that has a good number of coins and you will need to use it. In total, there’s 75 coins outside of the slide and 62 on the actual slide. So, that means you will want to make a beeline straight for the slide at the beginning, avoiding grabbing 38 coins along the way, as you don’t want the 100-coin star to spawn on the actual slide. Because of this, this walkthrough will ignore the majority of the coins, unless they come from enemies or are literally right in front of you.

When you begin, go forward and defeat the three Goombas near the start for three coins (3). Keep continuing along the mountain path, ignoring the Red Coins on the mushrooms, until you get to the Bob-Ombs. Collect the three coins from those, then defeat the Chuckya to get another five coins (11). There will be another five coins on the bridge, as well as two more from the Fly Guy (18). Cross the large gap with the log, then bypass the rolling iron balls, with there being another three Goombas just past that (21). Long Jump the next gap and collect the five coins immediately after the Fwoosh (26).
Jump into the secret slide now. It will be hard to keep a count of all the coins on the slide, but there are three Blue Coins on it that should be collected, as well as some rows of coins. It’ll be quite difficult to collect all of the coins on the slide, but there’s a total of 62 on it, which will be added to the overall total (88). The hole at the end of the slide will deposit you out near a star, but this is right above the beginning part of the course, so jump down (stick towards the wall). Near the beginning of the course, there is a slope going downwards, where you will find a bouncing box, as well as eight coins, for a total of thirteen (101).

From there, head to the mushrooms with the Red Coins and collect them all (109). In the area with the Monty Moles, you have another four Red Coins, as well as five more on the climbable ivy bit (122). Continue up the mountain as normal, until you get past the entry point for the secret slide. There will be three Goombas in the ivy patch, yielding three coins (125). Next to the ivy patch will be the purple switch, which creates a block that allows you to get five coins in the air (130). For the final bit, there will be five coins on the thin ledge by the waterfall (135).
