The second star of this course will involve you delivering a lost baby penguin to its mother. If you haven’t noticed, there are two baby penguins on this course, one near the beginning, above the shack, and the other is located on top of the shack at the very bottom of the mountain. The mother is also located at the very bottom of the mountain, so thinking things through really quick should make you realize the baby penguin at the top if the correct one to deliver to her. Should you try to hand over the other baby penguin, she will say it’s the incorrect one and ask you to find her real one.

So, knowing that the real baby penguin is at the top of the course, jump to the ledge above the shack and grab it. The thing might be a little slippery, as it waddles away from you, so keep trying until you finally have a good grasp on the little penguin. Once you do, you have to bring it down to the bottom of the mountain, and there’s both a long way, as well as a very fast way. The longer way is definitely a bit safer, since there’s no real threat of actually falling into the void. Also, before you thinking about it, the teleport doesn’t work if you’re holding the baby penguin, so there’s a good idea being put down.
Long Way Down¶
The longer way down is the normal path, so you will begin by sliding down until you reach the area with the snowman on the pedestal. The biggest obstacle here will be crossing the long bridge with the two jumping Mr. Blizzards. If you get hit by them, then you will drop the baby penguin, so quickly pick it back up and continue across the bridge. Once you make it, though, the rest of the way down to the bottom of the mountain will be simple. When you get there, approach the big penguin to present her baby, and she will reward you with a Power Star.

Quick Way Down¶
The quicker way down is a little bit more dangerous, since you will be sliding down, but not in the way you think. Once you grab the baby penguin, head on over to the broken bridge that is a teleport. You will be jumping off of the broken bridge and sliding down to the area below. Additionally, you could just jump over the ledge and into the area with the snowman on the pedestal. While facing the long bridge with the jumping Mr. Blizzards, you can slide down the slope to the left of it and depending on how you hold the left analog stick, you can land in the area with the big penguin. Hand over the baby penguin to get the star.
