It’s time to collect all eight Red Coins in Jolly Roger Bay! It’s best to do this star in conjunction with the [100 Coins Star], as you will be collecting all of the Red Coins for that, so the walkthrough will take that into consideration. Thankfully, all of the Red Coins in this course are located in the starting area, although you will need to do a little bit of swimming to get some of them. When you begin the level, dive into the water and look for the Clams in the shallow portion. One of the Clams right there, near the central structure, will have Red Coin #1.

The other Clam near it has a Koopa shell in it and while you can grab it with either of the attack buttons, it doesn’t seem to last too long. Go to where the wooden plank is floating in the water between the two platforms along the right wall, where you will find the second Clam with Red Coin #2. Head over to the ledge that is overlooking the deep end of the waters, where the Clam there will be holding Red Coin #3. For the last coin that is underwater, go into the deep end and at the bottom will be the Clam containing Red Coin #4.

Return to the surface and look for the lone spire near the platform with the Bob-Omb Buddy. Climb to the top of the spire to find Red Coin #5. Continue past the Bob-Omb Buddy and onto the platform with the button, which will lead you to getting on the ship. Red Coin #6 will be in the air right by where you get on the ship. Red Coin #7 and Red Coin #8 will be on the opposite end of the ship, so jump up there and grab them. The Power Star will appear in the same area as the final two Red Coins.
