Description¶
This page offers a guide on grabbing the Shine Sprite in Episode 1 of Noki Bay. This area is accessed by looking into the sun near the Shine Gate once you’ve collected 20 Shines back in Delfino Plaza.
Path to the Shine Sprite¶
Looking up to the right from the start of the Episode you’ll spot strange markings leading up. Begin by heading forward and start climbing the platforms and at the top, you’ll come across a stationary lift, jump on it and use a Side Somersault to reach the next platform. Follow the arrow and you’ll come to the markings you spotted earlier.

Using FLUDD, remove the first markings and you’ll cause some platforms to pop out. Use these to climb higher and then clean the next set for more platforms. Clean the goop on the large platform here and then use a Side Somersault to Wall Kick and reach the next platform to the right, covered in more goop. Make your way up the slope to the left and at clean more goop at the end to enable you to Wall Kick higher.
There’s even more goop here so clean it up as you make your way to the small pool of water to refill FLUDD and then Wall Kick off the left platform and hover over to the right platform. Turn back to the left platform and you’ll spot another goop filled platform so jump over, remove it and turn your attention to the Mole who’s been tossing the bombs at you.

As it throws bombs in your direction, use FLUDD to spray them and then pick them back up, launching them at your attacking to deal direct damage. Repeat this process three times to defeat the Mole, uncork the waterfall and claim another Shine.
