Elden Ring

All Armor and Shields in Stormveil Castle

By
Scott Peers

In Elden Ring, you’ll find a wide range of armor and shields that can either be bought, discovered or obtained as a drop from an enemy, or given as a reward for completing quests. This page details all the armor and shields that can be found in the Stormveil Castle region.

Armor and Shield Locations in Stormveil Castle, Elden Ring

There are five shields in total to be found in Stormveil Castle, and only one armor piece.

Armor / Shield Location
Commoner’s Simple Garb Looted from a corpse on a balcony accessed from the Gateside Chamber
Marred Leather Shield Looted from a corpse on the wooden steps leading into the castle
Hawk Crest Wooden Shield In a cellar which is locked by an Imp Seal Statue, close to Rampart Tower Site of Grace
Marred Wooden Shield Looted from a corpse on top of a ruined tower beneath the Rampart Tower Site of Grace
Wooden Greatshield Looted from a corpse located on the second floor of the wooden guard tower
Manor Towershield Found beneath some wooden steps in a hidden guardroom in the northern part of the castle

Commoner’s Simple Garb

The Commoner’s Simple Garb can be found near the Gateside Chamber Site of Grace, in the southeastern part of the castle. Head east from the site to walk onto a balcony, where you’ll find a corpse= from which you can loot the armor piece. The main difficulty here is reaching the Gateside Chamber Site of Grace in the first place, which you can access by heading down the ramp in the southeastern corner of the main courtyard (southeast of Liftside Chamber), which leads to the main gate. There are a lot of enemies here so you’ll need to take your team defeating them methodically, or attempt to sneak by.

Marred Leather Shield

The Marred Leather Shield is likely to be one of the first items that you come across in Stormveil Castle, since it’s so close to the entrance. You can loot it from a corpse on the wooden steps leading up to the castle from the Stormveil Cliffside Site of Grace.

Hawk Crest Wooden Shield

The Hawk Crest Wooden Shield can be found in a cellar near the Rampart Tower Site of Grace. It is most easily accessed from this site, but you might also come across it after defeating the Grafted Scion in the main hall. You’ll need a Stonesword Key to access the cellar.

Marred Wooden Shield

The Marred Wooden Shield can be obtained from a corpse on top of a ruined tower, not far from the Rampart Tower Site of Grace. The ruined tower is in a hidden area however, which you can access by following the steps in the gif below.

Wooden Greatshield

The Wooden Greatshield can be found on a balcony in the main courtyard of the castle, just southeast of Liftside Chamber. You’ll only need to kill one enemy to reach it from the Liftside Chamber Site of Grace if you’re careful, as shown in the gif below.

Manor Towershield

The Manor Towershield can be found in a hidden guardroom in the northern part of the castle. The guardroom contains numerous weak enemies, but once you’ve defeated them you’ll find the shield beneath the wooden stairs on the lower level. The gif below shows how to reach the hidden guard room from the Secluded Cellar Site of Grace.
