Elden Ring

How to Unlock Every Ending in Elden Ring

By
Ben Chard

In Elden Ring, you’ll find a wide range of characters that will share their plight with you, most of these will have Quests that span multiple locations. Completing some of these Questlines will lead to some of the many different endings in the game.

There are multiple endings in Elden Ring.

How Many Endings are There?

The first piece of information you may wish to know when it comes to Elden Ring is just how many endings there are. As of now, there are six known endings, with three of them awarding Trophies/Achievements. One of these, Elden Lord, has four variations of the ending but will still offer the same Trophy/Achievement. Below you’ll find a full list of the endings on offer.

How to Get the Elden Lord Endings

As mentioned above, Elden Lord has four variations of its ending, based on the Mending Runes you can offer after defeating the final boss:

Age of Fracture Ending

This is the most standard ending in Elden Ring, and the one most players will obtain if they play through without completing additional Quests from some of the many NPCs in the Lands Between. Simply defeat the final boss and when you sit on the throne, select the Mend the Elden Ring option to trigger the ending.

The Age of the Duskborn Ending

This variation of the Elden Lord ending requires you to play through and complete Fia’s Questline and you’ll eventually obtain the Mending Rune of the Death-Prince. Proceed through the game from this point and defeat the final boss and this time, when sat on the throne, select the “Use Mending Rune of the Death-Prince option to trigger this ending.

The Blessing of Despair Ending

This variation of the Elden Lord ending requires you to meet and complete the Dung Eater’s Questline and you’ll eventually obtain the Mending Rune of the Fell Curse after having fed him enough Seedbed Curses. Proceed through the game from this point and defeat the final boss and this time, when sat on the throne, select the Use Mending Rune of the Fell Curse option to trigger this ending.

The Age of Order Ending

This variation of the Elden Lord ending requires you to meet and complete the Brother Corhyn and Goldmask’s Questlines and you’ll eventually obtain the Mending Rune of Perfect Order. Proceed through the game from this point and defeat the final boss and this time, when sat on the throne, select the Use Mending Rune of Perfect Order option to trigger this ending.

The Lord of Frenzied Flame Ending

This is the only ending path that will lock you out of all the other ending choices in the game, and is essentially considered the “evil” ending of Elden Ring. There will be one opportunity to use Miquella’s Needle (obtained as part of Milicent’s Questline) to reverse your decision, but that will lock you out of the Frenzied Flame Ending.

You’ll have to meet with the Three Fingers, located at the bottom of Subterranean Shunning Grounds, at the Frenzied Flame Proscription in Leyndell. Here, you’ll inherit the Frenzied Flame and once you progress through the game and defeat the final boss, sit on the throne and select the Become the Lord of Frenzied Flame option to trigger this ending.

The Age of the Stars Ending

This is largely considered the secret ending of Elden Ring, and requires you to play through and complete the lengthy Ranni the Witch Questline. There are numerous rewards along this Questline, not least the ever coveted Dark Moon Greatsword but more importantly, you’ll unlock the condition for the Age of Stars Ending. Once you speak to Ranni the final time and obtain the weapon, proceed through the game until you defeat the final boss and instead of sitting on the throne, use the summon sign to call Ranni and trigger the ending.
