In Elden Ring, you’ll find a wide range of characters that will share their plight with you, most of these will have Quests that span multiple locations. This page will detail where you can find Iji and complete his Questline.
You will meet with Iji in Liurnia of the Lakes.
First Meeting - Road to the Manor¶
You will first encounter this friendly giant when you head towards Caria Manor for the first time. As you pass through the Kingsrealm Ruins in western Liurnia, you’ll be able to strike a wall in the northwest to open the passage to the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Sitting next to this, is (as he’s first known) Smithing Master Iji who will give you some words of warning about the manor up ahead. He’ll also offer Blacksmithing facilities along with a shop, speak with him about Blaidd if you’ve already started that Quest and he’ll offer an additional Talisman for sale.

Second Meeting - After Ranni’s Rise¶
Once you begin the Questline for Ranni the Witch, you will meet Iji, now known as War Counsellor, in Ranni’s Rise where you can learn more about your new mistress and the Carian royals in general. Returning to Iji at Road to the Manor will open up a few more questions that you can ask him, such as about your task, reaching Nokron, or about Blaidd.
Third Meeting - After freeing Blaidd¶
free Blaidd from the Evergaol and you will be able to question Iji about it.
After you’ve progressed the Quest for Ranni the Witch beyond Nokron, and obtained the Cursemark of Death, you’ll be able to find Blaidd trapped in the Forlorn Hound Evergaol in Limgrave, imprisoned. After choosing to release him, return to Iji and you can ask him why he placed him there and you’ll learn some invaluable knowledge about Blaidd and the Carian Royals.
Final Meeting - After completing Blaidd’s Quest¶
Your final meeting with Iji will not take place until you have first completed Ranni’s Quest, followed by seeing the conclusion of Blaidd’s Quest. Following the events there, return to Iji at Road to the Manor and speak with him and choose to press him about Blaidd and you’ll learn that he too feels his time is up. Use the nearby Site of Grace to refresh the area and you’ll find the body of Iji on the main road, head over to the anvil and you’ll be able to collect Iji’s Bell Bearing and Iji’s Mirrorhelm.
