Carian Glintblade Staff

In the southeast of Liurnia of the Lakes, along the Liurnia Highway South and just north of the Purified Ruins, you will see a ruined tower known as the Highway Lookout Tower. Use the ladders to climb to the very top, take out the sorcerer there and you will find the Carian Glintblade Staff on a corpse.

Carian Glintstone Staff

You can find the Carian Glintstone Staff by traveling to the east of Liurnia of the Lakes, due east of the Academy of Raya Lucaria to find the Carian Study Hall. Go inside and head south round a corner to find an elevator. Ride it to the top and turn left up the stairs and follow the walkway round to the west. Go up the next set of stairs and head east to see the staff lying on the ground. This staff will boost any Carian sword sorceries you might wish to use but it does have a fairly high Intelligence requirement (24).

Carian Knight’s Sword

The Carian Knight’s Sword can be found on the back of a Wandering Mausoleum pulled by two Stonedigger Trolls that patrol the road just south of the Northern Liurnia Lakeshore Site of Grace. The nearest dungeon is the Kingsrealm Ruins. Kill the trolls to stop the Mausoleum and loot this very powerful sword. It is perfect for a spellblade build as it has a very powerful weapon skill and scales well with Intelligence, Strength and Dexterity.

Crystal Knife

Found in the northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes, in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel. Head inside and take the elevator down to reach the Site of Grace. Move through the tunnels to the east until you reach a large cavern and some wooden walkways. Follow the south platform past the miners and into another tunnel that leads south/southeast. Follow the wooden stairs down north towards another elevator. At the bottom, make your way into the next room and carefully use the wooden beam that leads west across the chasm. Finally, follow the past west to find a chest that contains the Crystal Knife. Like all crystal weapons, it has magic great magic damage and scales equally with Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence.

Crystal Staff

The Crystal staff is inside Academy Crystal Cave which is located on the western edge of the Academy of Raya Lucaria and needs a Stonesword Key to remove the barrier there. Once inside, move south through the tunnel and keep following the northern path as it bends. Go past the large purple crystals and turn east then south at the top to go through another tunnel and a room with a wooden door. Just beyond here in the west corner next to the stone staircase, is an invisible wall to attack. Take care as a sorcerer will be waiting just beyond but once it’s dead, follow the path a little and you will find a chest with the Crystal Staff inside. This has excellent Intelligence scaling (B) and 60 Sorcery Scaling so it is a perfect staff for pure Int builds.

Crystal Sword

Another crystal, magic-based weapon, the Crystal Sword is located in the Village of Albinaurics. Follow the hill to the village, past the house and to the Site of Grace then cross the rope bridge to the other side. Follow the stone wall round to the east to find a corpse right on the cliff edge that contains the Crystal Sword.

Dark Moon Greatsword

One of the staples of From Software games, this iteration of the Moonlight Greatsword, now known as the Dark Moon Greatsword, can be found underneath the Cathedral of Manus Celes after completing Ranni’s questline. The steps for completion are numerous but include being accepted into her servitude, speaking to the three spirits at Ranni’s Rise to begin the quest, visit the various NPCs related to the questline, take the steps to collect the Dark Moon Ring, defeat the boss in the Lake of Rot and finally visit the Moonlight Altar and the Cathedral beyond. From the Site of Grace, look down into the hole and carefully drop to the bottom to find Ranni. After speaking with her, she will disappear and leave behind the Dark Moon Greatsword. Please see our NPC Renna/Ranni page for full quest completion. A fantastically-powered weapon and perfect for Intelligence builds, this is one of the most coveted weapons in the game.

Digger’s Staff

Found as a rare drop from the Crystal Miners in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel in the northeast of Liurnia of the Lakes. It may take a few tries to get it to drop. It has C Intelligence scaling and actually boosts Stonedigger sorcery as well so it makes it quite a unique weapon for casters.

Frozen Needle

Pay a visit to the Kingsrealm Ruins in the northwest of Liurnia of the Lakes but beware of a nasty boss that stands between you and the Frozen Needle - the Royal Revenant. Head below the ruins into the cellar to confront the Revenant and if you manage to kill it, you will gain access to the room beyond where, inside is a chest that holds the Frozen Needle. This is primarily a Dex weapon but it causes frost buildup with use.

Great Knife

Found in the Lakeside Crystal Cave just northwest of Stormveil Castle in Liurnia of the Lakes. It is a rare drop from a Demi-Human that leaps out of a bush just a bit past the Site of Grace inside. This may take you several tries to acquire. The Great Knife has good Dexterity Scaling (C) and causes blood loss buildup as well so is perfect for fast, agile Dex builds.

Great Mace

In the far north of Liurnia of the Lakes, near the Grand Lift of Dectus is a small camp where you can find the Great Mace. The Mace is in a chest in front of a blue tent, next to some stacked barrels and a cart. Like most warhammers, it has a high Strength requirement (28) but does scale very well (C) with Strength so is a useful weapon for a heavy build. It is also perfect for smashing Crystalians!

Icerind Hatchet

The Icerind Hatchet can be found on the Temple Quarter isle in the center of Lake Liurnia. It is inside a chest situated beneath a leaning tower in the southeast of the Temple Quarter. An excellent weapon to use on enemies weak to Frost as it causes Frost buildup and it has a fast swing as well as a special weapon skill; Hoarfrost Stomp. It also doesn’t have very high stat requirements so most builds could use it when needed.

Ivory Sickle

Another weapon found in the Village of the Albinaurics in the southwest of Liurnia of the Lakes. Head directly east from the Site of Grace to come to a sarcophagus that contains the Ivory Sickle. A magic dagger that scales well with Intelligence and Dexterity, it’s a good weapon for spellsword builds to quickly defeat enemies vulnerable to magic attacks.

Knight’s Greatsword

There are a few ways to acquire the Knight’s Greatsword but your opportunity in Liurnia of the Lakes is to visit Bellum Church and head northeast to the edge of the region beneath towering cliffs. There you can find a lone knight, replete with the blue and red tabbard and crested helm heavy armor of the Cuckoo Knights and a sword and shield. Defeat it to have a chance at obtaining the Knight’s Greatsword.

Lucerne

On the east side of Liurnia of the Lakes is the Liurnia Highway North, where you can find a few items. The Lucerne is found on the floor in front of a broken wagon with scattered sacks spilling out of it just to the right of the road. A Halberd that has higher Dexterity (C) than Strength (D) scaling, it is perfect for breaking an enemy’s guard.

Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword

Before reaching the Altus Plateau you will pass through the Ruin-Strewn Precipice where at the end you will face the Magma Wyrm Makar guarding the way to the Plateau. Defeat him and he will drop his massive sword, the Magma Wyrm’s Scalesword, a greatsword that has Strength, Dexterity and Faith requirements. It has a unique weapon skill; the Magma Guillotine that deals fire damage.

Nightrider Glaive

As its name would suggest, the Nightrider Glaive is carried, and dropped by, the member of the Night’s Cavalry that patrols Bellum Highway, the path that runs through the central part of Liurnia of the Lakes, near to Bellum Church. The fight is typical of a Night’s Cavalry fight and he will drop his glaive after he dies. The Nightrider Glaive has reasonably high Strength (26) requirements but scales well with Strength (C) too and is excellent at breaking enemy guards.

Rosus’ Axe

Behind an Imp Statue in the Black Knife Catacombs which requires a Stonesword Key to remove. Enter the dungeon and turn left, then left again from the boss room door and down some stairs. At the bottom on the left is a little nook with the Imp Statue. Use the Key and enter the room to find the corpse propped against a tomb which contains the Rosus’ Axe. The Rosus’ Axe scales mostly with Strength and Intelligence and deals magical as well as physical damage. It also has a unique weapon skill Rosus’s Summons, that briefly summons skeletons to fight for you.

Scythe

The Scythe is found within the Cliffbottom Catacombs located just north of Stormveil Castle, along the eastern cliffs there. Head inside and immediately go down the elevator platform to a new area. From there, run forward past the imp and turn left towards the boss room door then turn right. Follow the path round until you come to a room with the statue above and go down the stairs then keep heading south. At the end turn right, go up the stairs past the Imp Statue and follow the northern passage, then take the east passage. Keep going east then north east to come to a room with an arrow trap (watch the floor!) and a corpse in the middle that contains the Scythe. Beware the many imps that surround it. The Scythe is a Dexterity (C) scaling weapon that causes blood loss buildup.

Stormhawk Axe

This is your second opportunity to obtain these twin Stormhawk Axe from Nepheli Loux. If you met her outside Godrick’s boss room and spoke with her and her father at Roundtable Hold, she will move to the Village of Albinaurics where you can kill her and take her axes. There is one other opportunity in Leyndell, Royal Capital if you don’t wish to kill her. These are incredibly powerful weapons in their own right that scale equally with Strength and Dexterity but their uniqueness is the Weapon Skill: Thunderstorm that imbues the weapon with lightning and creates a storm around the wielder.

Sword of Night and Flame

The crowning jewel of the Caria Manor, it is of course located there as well, in a locked room which you can only reach from the walkways above. From the entrance, head north trying to avoid the hands, and underneath an arch. Keep going north and then west up the stairs inside the Manor. Go upstairs into the chapel and then outside onto the broken path east. Turn left and then right on to another bridge which you need to jump off onto a crumbled tower. Jump off here to the north and go down the ladder to reach the room with the chest containing the legendary Sword of Night and Flame. This weapon is frankly broken and scales with both Intelligence and Faith so is perfect for a spellsword build.

Treespear

The Treespear can be found almost immediately on entering Liurnia of the Lakes, head south from the Liurnia Highway South Site of Grace and keep following the road. Go past the Stonedigger Troll that is guarding the Mausoleum stuck at the end of the broken bridge upon the back of which is the chest containing the Treespear. This Great Spear scales equally with Strength, Dexterity and Faith and does Holy Damage. It comes equipped with the Weapon Skill: Sacred Order which imbues the weapon with Holy so is perfect against the undead.

Troll Knight’s Sword

From the Upper Manor Site of Grace in Caria Manor, head outside and down the stairs into the gardens and head north then west into a stairwell where the Troll Knight is on patrol. He acts like most Trolls though his damage is significant. Defeat him to obtain the Troll Knight’s Sword. This is a massive magical sword that scales equally with Strength, Dexterity and Intelligence (D) and comes with the Weapon Skill: Troll’s Roar.

Urumi

Another weapon found in Caria Manor, you can obtain the Urumi by starting from the Manor Lower Level Site of Grace and heading east outside across the walkway. Go further east past the tower and across the next walkway to another tower and then turn left. Jump down to the east onto a keep with a glowing blue lantern then go south down a wooden staircase and then turn left to find a group of hands guarding a corpse containing the Urumi. This has good Dexterity (C) scaling and is a versatile weapon that can deal piercing damage.

Watchdog’s Staff

The Watchdog’s Staff is found in the Road’s End Catacombs, in the southwest of Liurnia of the Lakes, just south of the Minor Erdtree. Go inside, down the stairs and follow the path round to the south. Run down two more flights of stairs south and then east, and then at the bottom, immediately turn back on yourself to see a wall that is illusory. Hit it to reveal an area with some imps and a corpse at the back that contains the Watchdog’s Staff. This is a massive striking weapon that scales with Strength and Dexterity (D) and has the Weapon Skill: Sorcery of the Crozier which summons magic floating projectiles that chase enemies automatically.
