Elden Ring

What are Imp Heads and How to Find them

By

Information about Imp Head helmets in Elden Ring, including where to find them.

What are Imp Heads in Elden Ring?

Imp Heads are a set of helmets in Elden Ring, each of which represents some different creature, as noted in parentheses behind the name. The different varieties are as follows:

All Imp Head helmets share some characteristics in common: they’re all prohibitively heavy, clocking in at a weight of 8.1, they all bestow decent defensive stats (which is only fair, considering how heavy they are), and they all give a +2 bonus to a single attribute, as follows:

Imp Head Attribute Boost
Imp Head (Cat) Intelligence +2
Imp Head (Corpse) Faith +2
Imp Head (Elder) Arcane +2
Imp Head (Fanged) Strength +2
Imp Head (Long-Tongued) Dexterity +2
Imp Head (Wolf) Endurance +2

Pay attention to the Jade Goblins you fight, if they’re wearing an Imp Head helmet, (left), they can drop said helmet when defeated. (right)

All in all, they’re somewhat interesting helmets, albeit mostly for their attribute boosts, but they’re by no means game-changing, and their weight will probably discourage many from donning them. For collection purposes, they’re unfortunately spread out over the entire game, with some being farmable shortly after completing the tutorial area and others only showing up near the end of the game. Many can be dropped by Jade Goblins found in various catacombs throughout the Lands Between, and they will be wearing the specific variant they can drop. Ranged attacks and magic will make it easier to farm Jade Goblins, who have a penchant for setting up ambushes and hiding on walls - if you can pick them off from afar, you can often deal with them without any trouble at all.

Their locations are as follows:

Where to Find the Cat Imp Head

The earliest Imp Head you can find, the Imp Head (Cat) is a rare drop from Jade Goblins, which can be found in various catacombs throughout the game. This includes the Stormfoot Catacombs, which can be found along the cliffs northwest of the Church of Elleh, which in turn is just north of the Stranded Graveyard. Depending on RNG, you could be farming for a while before you get one to drop.

Where to Find the Corpse Imp Head

In Leyndell, Royal Capital. You’ll need to search some darkened alleys south of the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace for a corpse in some bushes.

Where to Find the Elder Imp Head

In the Consecrated Snowfield Catacombs, it’s guarded by a (non-boss) Erdtree Burial Watchdog.

The Imp Head (Fanged).

Where to Find the Fanged Imp Head

Can be found by farming more dangerous variants of Jade Goblins - the ones found in the Cliffbottom Catacombs (Liurnia) will suffice.

Where to find the Long-Tongued Imp Head

Can be found by farming more dangerous variants of Jade Goblins - the ones found in the Subterraneans Shunning-Grounds (Leyndell, Royal Capital) will suffice.

Where to Find the Wolf Imp Head

Can be found by farming more dangerous variants of Jade Goblins - the ones found in the Minor Erdtree Catacombs (Caelid) will suffice.
