How to Find the Stormhill Shack¶

The Stormhill Shack is just up the road (northwest of) the Stormgate, at a fork in the road.

How to Complete the Stormhill Shack¶

Make your way up the road past Stormgate and at a fork you’ll find the Stormhill Shack to your right. On the road near the shack you’ll likely be ambushed by some Wolves, who appear - with some fanfare - seemingly out of nowhere. These are the only foes you should have to face in the area.

When you reach the Stormhill Shack, jump on some platforms to the south and loot a corpse to obtain a Stonesword Key. This is the only bit of loot in the area not in some way connected to Roderika, the NPC who dwells here.

How to Find Roderika¶

You’ll find Roderika sitting inside the ramshackle Stormhill Shack, and most of the interesting items in this location involve her.

First, talk to Roderika and at the end of your one-sided conversation you’ll obtain the Sitting Sideways gesture.

Talk to her again and she’ll eventually bequeath the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes unto you.

Speak with her one more time and she’ll make a request, the details of which are covered in the page How to Find Roderika and Complete Her Quest. Once you complete Roderika’s quest she should depart for the Roundtable Hold, where you’ll be able to use her services as a Spirit Tuner henceforth (she’ll upgrade your summons if you have the Runes and materials). She’ll also give you a Golden Seed for completing her quest.

What Happens if You Miss Roderika¶

It is possible to bypass Roderika at the Stormhill Shack by riding past Stormveil Castle and activating the Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace before completing her quest. If this happens, she’ll abandon her quest and travel directly to Roundtable Hold. Don’t worry, however, you haven’t really missed anything.

Talk to Roderika in Roundtable Hold (she’ll be by the fire in the circular entry chamber), then go talk to Smithing Master Hewg and pick the option “About Roderika”. Once he’s done talking, return to Roderika and talk to her again. Fast travel out of Roundtable Hold, then return to find Roderika has set up shop in the same room as Smithing Master Hewg. Talk to her and you’ll get the Sitting Sideways gesture, then talk to her again and pick the dialog option “Please.” to obtain the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes. She’ll still serve as a Spirit Tuner, and you can find the Golden Seed she would have given you at the end of her quest where she was sitting in Stormhill Shack.
