How to Find the Seaside Ruins

The Seaside Ruins is an unmarked location southeast of the [Stranded Graveyard], although it does bear a Site of Grace. Reaching this Site of Grace isn’t too difficult, just ride Torrent and pick manageable drops off cliffs, avoiding Giant Bats as you go. Alternatively, you can make your way south from the Dragon-Burnt Ruins.

Reaching this Site of Grace isn’t much of an issue, but getting down to the beach to the west is another matter entirely. The beach is far below you, and there’s no cave to sneak through to get there, or another roundabout approach. The only solution is to double jump with Torrent, but even this has limitations - despite whatever chicanery you try to use, Torrent can only drop from so great a height before the game auto kills you upon landing, so this will have to be done in stages.

From the Site of Grace head north around a ruined arch, then turn west and look off the cliff to find a ledge below you. It’s still a dangerous drop, but much closer than the beach itself. Jump with Torrent off the cliff (remember, you MUST jump - if you walk off, you won’t be able to double jump in midair) and when you’re near the ground, double jump to mitigate the fall damage. Repeat the process by jumping onto a smaller platform to the north, then jump down onto the beach.

How to Complete the Seaside Ruins

Once you make it down to the beach, the difficult part is over. Make your way to the northwest edge of the ruins and seek out a cave, inside which you’ll find a corpse near a ledge. If you drop off this ledge you’ll be back in the [Stranded Graveyard] area - that’s right, this is that ledge you couldn’t reach at the beginning of the game. Loot the corpse to obtain the Haligdrake Talisman.

How to Find the Art of War: Gravitas

Return to the beach and you should spot a ruined archway sinking into the sand (southeast of the cave entrance). Standing under the arch is a [Slender Wayfarer], a relatively sturdy enemy who will attack if you get too close. While lumbering much of the time, he’s deceptively fast when he needs to dodge, and he can shoot a gravity orb at you to pull you into his attacks. He can also use a massive AoE attack - the Art of War: Gravitas. Generally try to dodge whenever you see any dark purple energy around him, and if you want to make the fight really easy, just do hit-and-run attacks while mounted. Defeat the Stranded Wayfarer and he’ll drop the Art of War: Gravitas.
