Nightingale

How to Get T1 Swamp Fibre in Nightingale

By
Matt Chard

As you progress through the main quest line of Nightingale, you’ll need to find a peaceful way to acquire a Pellucidic Etched Ingot (unless you take the non-peaceful way) which will bring you to Ludivine Saint-Clair. She’ll tell you that she urgently needs three Slight Curative Potions. These potions require the elusive T1 Swamp Fibre and these can be found in a T1 Swamp Realm such as Antiquarian, you’ll need to know what you’re looking for to find it, however, and with this tip, you’ll never have trouble finding it again. Read on to find out exactly where to find T1 Swamp Fibre in Nightingale.

T1 Swamp Fibre Location

If you’re reading this while still in the same realm as Ludivine, you can stay here, however, if you’ve done something else due to not finding it, head to a Swamp Antiquarian Realm (Swamp + Antiquarian Cards). When you reach the swamp, look in the distance for trees that have white leaves. They should be relatively easy to find, as the other 95% of the trees will have orange/yellow leaves. Once you’ve located the tree with the white leaves, head toward it, and search the base of the tree to find a small white plant; this plant contains the coveted T1 Swamp Fiber.

Select a T1 Realm in the Swamp to find T1 Swamp Fibre.

There are normally at least two plants per white tree (depending on RNG), but you can find a group of white-leaved trees together. This will be the best spot to ‘farm’ them. We recommend that you use an infused, and enchanted Sickle on them to maximize the amount of fibre you get per plant, but you’ll only need a couple to create the Slight Curative Potions needed for Ludivine’s quest.

(1 of 4) Search the area for trees with white leaves.

How to Craft Slight Curative Potions

The reason you want T1 Swamp Fibre is that it is one of the ingredients for the Slight Curative Potion, which is what’s needed for the quest. Apart from T1 Swamp Fibre, you’ll also need five Essence Dusts, one hide (any hide), and one piece of glass, which can be obtained by smelting quartz. This has to be crafted on the Alchemical Boiler that Ludivine should give you the recipe for, although you can purchase it from the Herbarium Essence Traders. Note that you only need to craft the potion once, as the recipe is for five potion bottles.

There you have it, head into a T1 Swamp Realm, find the large trees with white leaves, and use your sickle on the white plants that sit beneath them.

Nightingale is a PvE open-world survival crafting game with a few unique features for the genre. First among these is the Realm Card system, whereby players can discover and craft Major or Minor realm cards to influence aspects of procedurally generated worlds or character attributes respectively. You may find yourself in a more forgiving or hostile world depending on the Major cards you use, but the Minor cards can give you an edge against foes with boosts to damage, health, stamina, or other aspects of survival. The game is set in the Victorian era and has more than a little influence from Steampunk fiction, so if that’s anything like your thing, you’ll love this world!
