Ten years in the making. That’s how long it took for Final Fantasy XV to finally be released to the public, after initially being revealed as Versus XIII. Many people were excited at the prospect of playing a new entry in the Final Fantasy series, even if it was meant to be a side game. However, the lack of information being released to the public had people, including myself, worried, until Versus XIII was rebranded as Final Fantasy XV, the next in the mainline series.
Square Enix made sure to keep information released to the public in a steady flow and the promises of an open world had many people giddy with happiness, as there hasn’t been an offline Final Fantasy game with an open world before. Everyone couldn’t wait until September 30 to get their hands on the game, but were met with some bad news, as the game was delayed to November 29. And it was on that fateful day that fans rejoiced around the world, as they could finally play the fated Final Fantasy XV. It only took ten years to reach that day, but it finally happened.
