Prompto’s Photo Op quests are incredibly simple: As you travel about in the Regalia Prompto will ask you to indulge his photographic desires by stopping to snap photos of a nearby landmark. The areas where these events trigger are not random, however, whether Prompto will actually ask you is random. You may have to travel around an area many times before Prompto will finally ask. Therefore, the “When” part of these quests is random, and the “Where” part is rather general, instead of specific. This page includes the Photo Ops in the Cleigne and Vesperpool areas.
Photo Op: Mascot¶

Drive past the Old Lestallum Outpost to trigger this quest, which can easily be completed by parking the Regalia and allowing Prompto to photograph the mascot atop the Crow’s Nest Diner.

Drive south-west from the Burbost Souvenir Emporium Outpost to find this Photo Op. You’ll come here during the quest “The Sword in the Waterfall”.

Stop off at the Cape Caem Parking Spot and head along a trail uphill to the south, towards a lighthouse, to trigger this Photo Op. You’ll come here as part of the main story during the second part of “All Set to Set Sail”, after “Imperial Infiltration”.
