Dragon's Dogma 2

Spirit's Path Walkthrough

By
Nathan Garvin

The open world of "Dragon" iconDragon’s Dogma 2 is littered with numerous dungeons of all sizes, some being grand, sweeping ruins that still loom threatening over the land while others are little more than holes in the ground now occupied by malcontents. Regardless of how prominent or obscure they are, dungeons are a great source of loot and XP, and well worth exploring. The "Spirits' Path" iconSpirits’ Path is one such cave - definitely closer to the “hole in the ground” end of the spectrum of dungeons, and this page will provide a full walkthrough for it, including where to find it, what enemies you’ll encounter within and what treasure you can prize from its depths.

(1 of 2) The Spirits’ Path dungeon can be found just northeast of Vernworth.

Spirits’ Path Dungeon Location - Dragon’s Dogma 2

The Spirits’ Path is along the eastern edge of Vermund, east and somewhat north of "Vernworth" iconVernworth itself. It’s well hidden behind some boulders, only the presence of bandits among the rocks and on the nearby road are likely to lure you to this dungeon’s entrance, which is a large, stone, man-made pit with a ladder descending into the darkness.

Spirits’ Path Treasure and Enemies

Climb down the ladder and head down a makeshift wooden bridge. Note that if you end up in the water surrounding the area where the ladder takes you (pawns absolutely love leaping to their demise here, for whatever reason) you may encounter some undead. These zombies tend to only appear at night, but there are also skeletons lurking in the cave regardless of what time of day it is - apparently the darkness of this dungeon is a suitable habitat for such creatures even with the sun up.

(1 of 2) Take some stairs down to reach a cliff overlooking the river. Turn left and you’ll see some rocks.

Spirits’ Path Seeker’s Token - Dragon’s Dogma 2

Head down a passage to the southwest and dispatch a "Skeleton" iconSkeleton, then note that you’re at a fork. Loot a chest ("Dried Fruit" iconDried Fruit, "Dried Spud" iconDried Spud) then head downstairs to the southwest, which should shortly see you back outside on a ledge overlooking the river. Turn left and note some rocks and a crate in the corner - lift up the rocks and you’ll find a sneaky "Seeker's Token" iconSeeker’s Token hiding beneath it.

(1 of 2) Get too close to the ornate chest in the dungeon and some skeletons will appear!

Get too close to the ornate chest in the dungeon and some skeletons will appear! (left), Thrash them and claim the prize they guarded - a Wakestone. (right)

Spirits’ Path Treasure - Wakestone - Dragon’s Dogma 2

Claim your prize and return back into the crypt, and at the fork take the as of yet explored hallway to the northwest. When you reach a chamber, more Skeletons will spawn - a taste of what’s to come. Dispatch them and check the adjacent chamber to the northeast for more skeletons, perhaps including the odd skeleton mage. When all the immediate opposition has been defeated, loot a chest in the southwestern chamber to score a "Winter's Path" iconWinter’s Path tome and an "Onyx" iconOnyx gem, then note a unique chest at the far end of the northeastern room. When you approach this chest, a group of Skeleton "Mage" iconMages will pop out of sarcophagi lining the chamber, along with the odd skeleton knight. Disassemble these skeletons, then claim your prize from the ornate chest - a "Wakestone" iconWakestone.

With that, you’re done with this short dungeon; a Wakestone and a Seeker’s Token seem like a fine reward for such a diversion! If you’ve got the itch to delve other dungeons in Vermund, check out the following pages:
