Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a number of fearsome bosses and foes. However, there are none quite as petrifying as Medusa herself. While you initially face her at the beginning of the game, by the time you land in Vermund, she has already snaked off somewhere else to hide out and lurk. You will definitely want to find her as her lair has some incredible items and grabbing her head will let you petrify anything in the game.
Here is where you can find the foe.
Dragon’s Dogma 2 Medusa location¶
Medusa is found in Wyrmsblood Forest in the Nera’Battahl Windrift point of interest on the way up to Dragonsbreath Tower. She is lurking around and slithering in the Caliginous Depths. Upon entering her cave, you will instantly begin a fight with her.
In addition to beginning the fight against Medusa by heading down the main path, you can also drop down onto her from the nearby cliff, just before the entrance to her cave. Climbing up will allow you to look down into a hole and then drop right onto her. This allows you to jump on her head straight away and slice it off to get the Medusa Head, which you can then take to storage to preserve it. If you kill her normally, you won’t get her head and therefore won’t be able to use it as a weapon and item.
If you happen to kill her without cutting off her head, you can sleep for just over two weeks in Bakbattahl or any other nearby bench or inn and she will respawn in her cave. To get back there you can place a marker or use our interactive world map.
That is where you can find Medusa in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Now you have found her, you can read our guide on how to beat and decapitate Medusa, so you can put an end to her fearsome reign and eventually petrify her body.
