Some Pokémon in The Teal Mask are exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet or Violet, with "Gligar" IconGligar and it’s evolution, "Gliscor" IconGliscor, being tied to Scarlet. Learning how to catch Gligar and evolving it into Gliscor depends on having the right version. Once trainer is in the right version of Kitakami, we can get into the aforementioned alongside the item needed for evolution and the best competitive build for Gliscor.

How To Catch Gligar

Head to the Paradise Barrens fast travel point to find Gligar freely roaming around the general area. When encountering always try a "Quick Ball" iconQuick Ball before attacking, but if that fails use a mid-level 60s Pokémon or a high-level Pokémon that knows Flase Swipe and a status-effecting move. One caught it’s time for trainers to find a "Razor Claw" iconRazor Claw.

(1 of 6) Head to the Paradise Barrens fast travel point.

How To Evolve Gligar Into Gliscor

Trainers will now need a Razor Claw to evolve Gligar into Gliscor, which can be purchased from a "Delibird" IconDelibird Presents store in Paldea for $15,000, although trainers will need to have atleast four Gym Badges for the item to appear. Trainer will also need to wait until nighttime to evolve Gligar into Gliscor, so make sure Gligar is holding a Razor Claw and await night time in either Kitikami or Paaldea. Please note that the day and night cycle of Kitikami is fixed until the main story is complete.

(1 of 5) Give the Razor Fang to Gligar to hold and wait for nighttime.

Gliscors’ Poison STAB build is a solid strategy, specifically with the "Fling" iconFling and "Toxic Orb" iconToxic Orb combo dealing a strong Poison condition. "Toxic" iconToxic Orb poisons the holder, which makes Gliscors hidden ability, Poison Heal, heal a trainers Pokémon rather than taking damage. Swords dance provides a sharp increase in Physical damage, with "Acrobatics" iconAcrobatics doing massive damage is an opponent isn’t holding an item. This is a great option when an opponent uses up their berries or Focus Stash, for example. "Earthquake" iconEarthquake is a great option to deal massive damage both in team and single battles whilst providing good coverage for this build.

We’ve got hundreds of Pokémon locations already on our Kitakami Region Map , but why not check out all of the New and Returning Pokémon for the DLC too and complete the Kitakami Pokédex?
